When did you book your venue?

When did everyone book their venue? FH and I didnt do it yet and i'm afraid we wont have a place to get married

Hello Twin Date!! I booked my in the end of march for october 12 and for the most part all the halls were available...I wouldnt wait much longer though because it is columbus day weekend and im sure other brides may have that sunday in mind....

We were engaged in November 2005 and booked EW in December 2005 for our December 2007 wedding.

Believe it or not, someone had booked another room at EW for the same date already!

we booked our venue about a year and 3 months early. (which was about a month after we got engaged). we definately did a lot of back and forth though, we actually werent 100% positive on our decision till like a month after we booked though, lol!!

We booked our RH & church alittle over a month after we got engaged. Prior to that, we spent 2 weeks looking at RH's.

We booked in early June and are getting married in May.

We had lots of available dates to choose from .You have plenty of time so please don't stress.

we booked at the end of december.

about 3 months after we were engaged. it was our first vendor.

I booked my RH about 2 weeks after we got engaged, we wanted to wait but my parents called some RH's and lots were already booked for our date. We didn't have much flexibility with dates so I went out and found a RH that I loved and was open on my date, I booked without FH seeing it. I'm very happy to tell you that FH has finally seen the RH location and loves it - Phew!!!!

You have plenty of time to book. I know people who have had short engagements and were able to find places they loved in 6 months.

2 weeks after we got engaged..we only had like 4 dates to choose from too...some places book up more than others but i am sure that you will be fine..happy hunting for that special place!!

I have three different friends who planned their weddings in 5-6 months... it can be done!! They each had beautiful venues, gorgeous dresses and everything else that someone who planned two years in advance could get. You just obviously can't be picky about places/dates. If you're willing to look around at a bunch of places and be flexible with the date, then you will be just fine!

Hi date twin! We booked about 3 weeks after we were engaged - a year and 4 months from our wedding day. The venue and church were my priority, everything I'm putting off until our one week mark. If you know of places that you like, call to see if they have your date open and the times available.
