When did you first.......?

Say 'I Love You' or know that he was 'The One'? I knew after about 2 weeks of dating. We went on a group date with my friends and his and I told my friend that I was going to marry this man!!!!:EMO5 Edited to say he told me he loved me soon after!

we had only been dating for a couple of weeks, and FH, my sister and I were at Minnesota's one night and he was a little tipsy and just out of the blue he goes 'I Love You' I heard him, even with all the noise in the bar, but I said 'What? I can't hear you' and made him say it again lol

I love these questions - I knew he was 'the One' after we had been dating 3 months. Neither one of us wanted a relationship. It just kind of happened.

I don't remember but I think we took a while. We were both extremely cautious because of our previous relationships.

He said 'I love you' first after 3 months of dating.
It was Dec. and we were sitting in his car, just talking about the movie we just saw and he told me he loved me. I also remember there was a Alanis Morrisette song on the radio. I can't think of the song title but everytime I hear it I remember that moment.

He casually said it on the phone about 6 months into the relationship. It was shocking and I didn't respond. I said it about a month later. Now I say it WAY too much, LOL!!!!!

When my DH and I first starting seeing eachother he was home on leave from Ft. Campbell, KY. He only had a week before he had to go back, and he said 'I love you' before he left :) That was 5 years ago!!

We had taken a little weekend trip to San Antiono and were hanging out on the Riverwalk and sitting in an empty outdoor theatre just talking about how great of a time we had been having with each other and I think I told him I was falling in love with him and he told me he loved me. Then later that night he asked 'Can we say this more often.'...too cute. Oh and that was like three months after we started dating.

I 'knew' on our first date ... so many things went wrong, including I locked myself out of the house going OUT of the door. I live in a levit, so he was able to climb in my livingroom window easily to get the door open. As he was falling over himself to get inside I was thinking ... Oh, God, I'm going to marry him! We didn't say it, though for another 6 months which was fine, b/c if he had said it early, I might have bolted!

Great question ... I never told him that, I was thinking that I should write it in a letter to him on our wedding day

When we first started going out, he told me he NEVER said I Love You to ANYONE... I waited about 8 months... although I knew way before that... But when he said it (It was New Years Eve going into 2000), I KNEW I was going to marry him... ooh I just got chills thinking of it!

I knew the first night I saw him. We spoke for over 2 hours outside of the club we were at and I knew right then and there he was the one. Funny thing is we were supposed to be introduced by our now married friends and ended up introducing ourselves to each other and here we are today!
We both said I love you on our first Christmas together.

Oh my - I feel terrible, but it was so long ago that I don't even remember We were in high school when we started dating 11 years ago- teenagers do very stupid things. I am sure I probably said I love you right away, don't you love all of your boyfriends when you are 17?? Now I REALLY love him!

I KNEW right away but didn;t say it for a few months. He took a little longer because he had JUST gotten out of a broken engagement 3 months before!

Well, we started talking on the phone first, and for the first 3 months that's all we could do. We didn't live near each other, and since we were only 15 we didn't drive yet, and our parents wouldn't drive us to see each other, so anyway, we never met each other until 3 months after talking on the phone. We tried taking buses, getting rides, but for some reason, it never worked out. I believe it was after the first 2 months, we told each other there was something we wanted to say to each other, so we said it at the same time, and it was 'I Love You!'. So basically we fell in love before we ever met over the phone. We've never broke up, though we've had a couple of big fights, but over 9 years later, here we are, married to each other! We are definitely soul mates! (Sorry so long!)

From the first night we hung out - I knew there was something 'special' something 'different' between us. We said that we loved each other 3 or 4 wks after we started dating.

He told me he loved me 6 months into the relationship at Exit in NYC.

I was going to tell him I loved him a month earlier while we were vacationing in Mexico, but we ended up getting into an arguement, so I held out.

It took us about a year and a half after we started 'dating'. We fought this relationship tooth and nail because of our religious differences, but realized there was no one else in the world that could make us as happy. This was about 4 years after we met. 9 months after the first 'I love you' we were engaged.

Here's his proposal.....on a bridge (very appropriate seeing as we were 'bridging the gap' between two religions). This is at the home of the priest that will marry us (along with a cantor). We were at his house to talk and work out a lot of the stuff we were going through with an interfaith relationship. He ended the day by surprising me...I almost fell off this bridge. BTW, that's my hand over my face because I'm hysterical crying!
