Hi girlies, when did you do your registries? My FHs family keeps telling us to do it before the holidays because I think they want to get us presents from there for Christmas which is fine, but I think its to early still for a July 3 wedding. What do you think?

I don't think it is too early b/c your shower may be in April or May. Plenty of people have an early shower.
I am a May bride and plan to register by November.

I don't think it's too early. People want to get you gifts and if your not registered anywhere then you might get stuff that you don't like. I started my registry but only put a few things on it and I will add to it as I go along.

I don't think it's too early. We registered in April becasue we were having an e-party and people wanted to get us gifts. Like you said too with the holiday's coming up it's an easy way for people to get gifts for you guys.

I's also getting married in July and have felt like it was too early. Some people say that if you register too early then things become discontinued. I think that will happen regardless.

i started around easter..... i was getting my daughters pics with the easter bunny and stoped in williams sanoma so i started that registry then and the other 2 i have been doing little by little.
I'm a July Bride and I think I'll probably start my registry right after the holidays

I registered a month after we got engaged. And half of the registry was bought for the e-party. (which was about 2 weeks after I registered)
I also only had an 11 month engagement.

I started last month. But you can add or remove things as you go along. Some people like to buy and get it out the way thats why they may have asked you register.
