When do you get the closing date???

When do you get the closing date???

Our contract had the estimated closing date as 10/15. Obviously that didnt happen...everything is done on our end....and we are waiting for the lawyers to set the date.

How close to the closing do you typically get the date?

They only have 30 days from 10/15 and that will be here before you know it....I am not sure what's going on and no one will tell us anything.

Ours was estimated to be Oct 12th. When that didn't happen our lawyers got in touch with theirs and they came up with a new date of Oct 28th. Our was depepndant on when the sellers could close of the house they were buying.

Our closing is also dependent on when the sellers close on their new house. However, can they just tell you the day before???

Is it normal to only know that you are closing in the next 3 weeks but not know when?
