just out of curiousity.. how much before your wedding are you planning on having your bachelorette party? my maid of honor thinks.. (she's a bit delusional) that we're going to be partying hard at my bachelorette party the night before the wedding.. she has no idea... lol.. luckily the rest of my bridal party (the sensible ones) are shooting for a week prior.. but i'm curious as to what is the 'norm'..

Probably a few weeks before. But the reasoning behind it is logistics (we're moving back to NYC in May, wedding is in June, so it has to be in June before our wedding).
MY MOH just had her BP 2 weeks ago and her wedding is in November. I really don't think it matters.

I have no clue, its a surprise lol...I see alot of ppl now do it like 2 weeks to a month before the wedding and some even 2 months. My MOH knows not to do it the night before or even the week before.

thanks ladies.. i need some confirmation that i'm not crazy.. lol. i know it won't be a surprise.. cause 1. i'm not into surprises.. lol. 2. my bridal party is out of state so i'll know when they come to town.. i'm cool with it being a week before, since they are all coming to town a week prior to help me with last minute stuff.. but that last minute night before stuff of fairytales and movies is NOT gonna happen..

FH and I are lunatics and are having our parties on the friday of our wedding weekend. We have alot of friends from VA that we want to be there so we're waiting until they come in town for the wedding. I know i'll be tired as heck but hopefully i'll have turned over all my responsibilities to my lovely friend who is playing the role of DOC for me.

My BP was a month before my wedding.
I dont think theres an exact time frame that it has to fall into...probably just whenever its convenient for everyone to be able to make it.

Luckily, my MOH asks a lot of questions and listens when people give her ideas, and my bm/will be matron of honor knows exactly what i want.
I just hafta make it clear that it cannot be the week of my wedding.

I told my bridal party that I want it atleast 2 weeks before the wedding. I was told by many married women that it was a mistake doing it so close to the wedding b/c they were stressing out over everything and couldn't just relax and enjoy themselves

I'm pretty sure mine is a surprise. I'm ok with that but I told my MOH that I want it no later than 2 weeks before. Those 2 weeks will be hectic and I need to be able to get things done.
I already spoke to the BM and told him that FH's has to be 2 weeks before, too. i don't need hung over groomsmen. They are MAJOR drinkers when they go out!

I am thinking of having it the 1st week of Jaan. My sisters live oot and are comming for my bridal shower. ( they had to tell me since my whole bp lives oot) so, I think we will have it that weekend. I might also go out with the girls from work just for drinks a few days before.

As of now I am up in the air....I had my heart set on doing the cruise to nowhere out of NY but there was a conflict with another bridal party that one of my bridesmaids is in. So now Im back to square one and looking to possibly do a skiing trip which would have to be way before my actual wedding date (Im getting married in June and the bach party might be in March!....The cruise would have been in April!) Definitely do not let your MOH have it night before your wedding...That would be HORRIBLE and take away from your big day. Im planning on having a sleep over the night before so I have all my girls with me in the morning!!! YEAH!

Either 2 or 3 weekends before the wedding. (3/8 or 15). I'm thinking 3/8 b/c a lot of people might be out on the 15th b/c it's St. Pat's weekend.
