When it comes to clothes...do you *HAVE* to have name brands...
some things I need to be certain brands (like VS bras...the only store that seems to have an abundance of my size and the bra I love)
and other things like tees and tanks...I'll buy at Walmart

Not name brands as in Prada or Gucci or anything but yes, the vast majority of my clothes are brands that you would have heard of (Banana, J Crew, Gap, Citizens of Humanity, etc).

will you only buy those brands? Is there a reason as to why you shop there??

Not only those brands but yeah, I guess now that I think of it, they're all some brand. I shop at Lord and Taylor and Bloomingdale's too. But, I do a Target cruising every once in a while... I just like the quality and the fit of the brand names. Like my jeans - I wouldn't wear non-brand jeans. I know it's probably dumb but it may have to do with who I hang out with and where I grew up - people just care more about that stuff.

Hmmm do I have to have name brands no. But most of them are. I wont buy somethig just for 150.00 just because of the name. The quality has to match the pricetag too. For example, I have 12 dooney & bourkes and some coach bags. I buy these names because I like the workmanship of D & B. While my friends may have more bags than me..alot of times they are less $$ and get worn out after alot of use. D&B has a great repair program so theya re an investment to me.

I'd say the same about sneakers - I only wear Nike but it's because I find them to be the most comfy (& I am a sneaker/shoe whore and I've wasted tons of dough on sneaks I've only worn once).
Otherwise, I'll buy/wear anything that is comfortable!!

Re: When it comes to clothes...do you *HAVE* to have name brands...
I hate when people buy a name just to have a name ( like a bag with the logo all over it)I used to wear clothes from $10 stores all the time.
Better brands are usually cut better & hold up better though. I wear a lot of 'mall brands' like Express & NY & co, but lately I have gottend in to higher end names from stores like Loehmans & Filene's basement.
The only Jeans that ever seem to fit me are from Calvin Klein , Gap & Old navy. The Calvin Kline ones hold up the best though.
I do have a bunch of stuff from Filenes though that are brands I've ner heard of.
Shoes I pretty much wear Natrualizer, Easy Sprirt & Hush Puppies because I have wide feet. I wish I could ty a designer pair just once. . . I used to wear a lot of Payless & Parade, but they fall apart or wear down quickly & lately I can tell the difference with man made materials. My wedding shoes are from Parade though.. .

Definate don't HAVE to have name brands. For sneakers, yes. For bras I love Maidenform Very inexpensive. I like to shop at TJ Maxx.. they have the 'name brands' for less there. For jeans I like LEI and Angels. For tank tops I LOVE H&M... so you can see I buy mostly non-name brands

certain things, yes....I wear 99% of the time only VS undies and bras....although believe it or not Old Navy undies aren't bad!
I only wear Gap jeans because they are the only brand that fits me right.

Daffy's is amazing for eurpean clothing at a reasonable price too. Honestly you can still get brand name for about the same price as no name brands..just have to know where to shop and the sale seasons.

i shop at places where the clothes fit and they are decent quality so they do fall apart after one wash! Gap and Express are the stores i usually shop. Although Old Navy is my #1 place.

The only things I really require to be brand names are..
Bras & Undies-must be VS, they fit the best & are most comfortable
Sneakers-New Balance, I feel they are the most comfortable & last the longest...
I love to shop at TJ Maxx, Target & Kohls....To me, unless I am buying something that meets the quality with the price, I am not going to spend $$ just to have it...

I find a lot of Old Navy stuff falls apart. Not all of it though, I guess it depends on the material.

I buy whatever fits me well and isn't TOO expensive, and that tends to be Banana Republic for clothes. I actually like Payless shoes- they usually fit my feet well.
But purses, that's a different story.

Re: When it comes to clothes...do you *HAVE* to have name brands...
I do buy name brands cause they seem to fit me the best!!! I have short legs so I need pants in a petite size but I also don't weight 90 pounds so the name brands seem to fit me perfect but I also hold onto my clothes alot longer also!! So I think for the money it is worth it!! Banana Republic, J.crew, Betsy Johnson, Ralph Lauren etc.
