When it comes to clothes...do you *HAVE* to have name brands...

Original post by btrflygrl

some things I need to be certain brands (like VS bras...the only store that seems to have an abundance of my size and the bra I love)

and other things like tees and tanks...I'll buy at Walmart

No, I don't HAVE to have brand names... most of my clothes probably aren't brand names.... it's more important that they fit right, and happen to be the *exact* style I was looking for at that particular moment of shopping!

For sneakers -- yes, must be brand names, mostly because of the difference in quality and comfort.

I agree with everyone with the sneakers. Since I only buy one pair a year, I splurge and get one I know will be comfortable. I also only tend to buy VS bras - I found one that I love and pretty much refuse to wear anythng else.

Otherwise, I'm not too crazy with lables, though I tend to buy a lot from NY and Company and B. Moss (a store in Virginia where I go to school).

I buy there since I was student teaching and have practicum ect, and their stuff is still my style, but fits a lot better than other stores. I usually need a little more length in my shirts, ect so that when I bend over my back doesn't show (something a lot of cooperating teachers will become very upset about). In most other stores, clothes that fit like that tend to be things that I would never wear.

I will buy J Crew and Abercrombie occasionally, but only if it's on sale :)

And then my mom always gets me those Gap gift cards with her America Express points at Christmas, so I have a lot of stuff from there.

Alright, enough rambling :)

OMG I forgot about bras - I bought a Wacoal and now I will never buy another brand.
