when should i....

start looking for BM dresses? I am thinking of looking in Aug or Sept, that would be 8-9 months before our wedding. Is that enough time? How long do BM dresses take to come in? Did you have your bridesmaids pick them out or did you? I am thinking of having all my girls try some on and choose from there..is this a mistake?

This is a lot of questions, I know. But I don't know the best way to go about when and how to pick their dresses. Any ideas or advice?

we just did mine...

I only have two girls so it was easy... the three of us went to the bridal salon, we all went through the racks and picked out dresses that we liked... then when we had a whole bunch I got to sit back and watch them try on! when one dress looked good on one girl, we gave it to the other one to try on... I was also prepared to pick out different dresses for each of them because their body types were so different,but they managed to find a dress that looks great on both of them!!

i am going on the 16 th of july to look and hopefully order with my bridesmaids

i narrowed it down to 4
i picked color
we will go try on all 4 and pick from there... i like all 4 so whichever they choose is fine with me...

This is also a good idea...narrowing down dresses but still giving them some options. Did you see the dresses online or in a magazine and then call salons to see if they had these dresses?

If I had 5 girls, and wanted to go with all 5, i would definitely pick a time when the salon was dead... if they all get along, it might be fun...maybe go with 2 or 3 of your girls the first time to narrow some dresses down... I found that going into the salon with a bunch of pictures was a waste of time, because what looked nice in the picts, didnt always look nice on them... and we also had to hunt through all the racks trying to find the particular dress... i was easier to just go through the rack, pulling things out that we liked...
