im mailing mine out like the 3rd week of July. My RSVP date is August 23rd. I wanted PLENTY of time in between the RSVP date and the wedding to take care of everything (calling everyone who didnt respond, placecards, head counts, seating charts, favors, etc.)

Sending - July 27 (maybe a week or 2 earlier, but I doubt it)
I think for wedding invites (and definitely for my job stuff) if you give them TOO much time to RSVP they won't, or they could lose it, etc.
I agree. I have the same wedding date and my rsvp is Aug. 23 and I'll be mailing my invites out maybe a week earlier than you. People tend to forget if they have too much time to respond.
i dont think people will 4get to rsvp. people have been asking me for a couple weeks now when am i sending out invitations. you will always have the late RSVPers and u just have no control over that. people will either rsvp right away or wait until the last minute.
6 weeks before RSVP date.

Agreed, my Wedding is 9/28/08 and my rsvp date will be 8/28/08. I will be mailing them Monday 7/28/08 hopefully). I wanted to mail them after my bridal shower.
