i'm 5-31 and we're going in January. people are bugging me to do it now but i have no time. though i did start with little things online - most places let you register online

are you sure you have enough time? just asking bc i was told to finish my last 2 registries last week which i did and also had to give the final headcount today...I would start online at least bc if theyre bugging you its for a reason...i know theyre ordering invitations for my shower soon so they need my registry info before sending it out...I know they wanted to at least order invites before the holidays or maybe thats just what they tell me to throw me off and infact will send out soon but i know one thing is that by january ppl will have received my bridal shower invitation. Being that your wedding is may, you might have a shower in february which means they will send out invites in december MAYBE beginning of january if anything. Registering at 3 places is time consuming

i know what you mean; my sister and mom are the ones bugging me and they're planning my shower. I told them i'd do it in january during my break from school and they were okay with that - my shower isn't planned but it's not a surprise either so it will probably be in March/April. I wanted it to be warmer so my aunt can come; she can't go out in the cold weather.

by final headcount do you mean for your shower invites? I also need to figure out where i'm registering still (besides BB&B)

Oh ok thats good then that you have an idea of when your shower will be.

Yes by final headcount i had to tell my MOH exactly how many on my guestlist so she can order shower invites

definitely go to crate and barrel, awesome store

ugh. i'm hoping i can give my sister the list from my e-party and just add a few to it. I know she's going to ask me where i want to have it too which will be a huge PIA to figure out.

it's a toss up between crate and barrel, fortunoff, williams sonoma... i figured if i do bed bath i don't need fortunoff, but i'll go check it out anyway. I'm a big fan of crate and barrel and williams sonoma for kitchen stuff.

As soon as you can. We are getting married a few weeks after you, and we've been registered for a while. We recv'd a few gifts here and there, but at least now I'm not stressed b/c I have to attempt to register during the holiday season...

Re: When should I start registering?

We registered early this summer because our e-party was in mid-Aug. We got a lot of our registry items! Now we need to add more things, but I probably won't have a shower for a while so there's really no rush.

yeah for fortunoff we did alot of furniture bc we said whatever doesn't get bought we'll buy ourselves for 10% plus we also got a fortunoff visa card(which you can use outside the store) and everytime we use it we get points for every dollar spent so that can be added to the 10% and when ppl buy stuff off our fortunoff registry it also adds points for us and that all gets added too. We did some a few kitchen but very little since we have most of it at either BBB or crate and barrel but we did put bedding at fortunoff.

I registered right away for fine china and crystal. People bought a decent amount for our e-party. I've been adding little things here and there but I'm waiting til we get a house for a lot of stuff. I would at least start a registry. You never know if someone wants to send you a gift for the holidays or whatnot.
