When to book the florist?

My wedding is in Oct. 2003 and I have yet to book a florist (or even start looking) Am i too late? When do people usually book the florist?

My wedding is in August 2003 and just started looking now. Everyone I have called so far is still open for my date so you are not too late.

My wedding is in Sept '03 and I booked this past Oct (11 months before). My florist only does two weddings on a saturday and I was the second one he booked for my day. I would start ASAP. You don't have to know exactly what you want, you can get a florist and decide later on about the exact flowers.

we are may 2003 and booked the florist 3 months ago, but we do everything early, id say 6 months is sufficent.

I booked my florist w/in the first month of getting engaged. I got engaged in April and getting married in June 03.
