When to buy bridesmaid's dresses for July 2002 wedding?

Hi girls- I was wondering if anyone had any advice about when is the best time to buy bridesmaids dresses for a july 2002 wedding? When do the spring/fall lines come out? Will they be out in Jan? or is it better to order the dresses this fall? Thanks!

It`s never too early to start looking just to get ideas. But keep in mind, most dresses take 6 months to come in. Sure, some will come in sooner, but 6 months is a good estimate. Definitely start shopping around about 9 months out, if not sooner. I ordered my dress in early Dec. and it`s still not in. It`s expected in early May. The girl`s dresses were ordered in early Jan. and I was told they would take about six months. I`m not sure when the new lines come out, but I know in late Dec. many of the designers were making their changes in their lines. The bridesmaids dresses we ordered were set to be discontinued and we got our order in just in time. You might want to call a few bridal shops and ask about the line changes and what their recommendations are in terms of when to order. But I would think you`d want to have your orders in by about 9 months out. Hope this helps.

I am also getting married in July 2002 and I am going to start looking for my dress by June and get ideas for the bridesmaid dresses also this summer. I think that's a good time to start looking. It wouldn't hurt to look and get ideas.
