So after a year and a half of being engaged and not really planning very much, lol, FH and I have decided to elope. We are going to go somewhere topical in October of '08 and then have a dinner or brunch when we get back.
However, does this leave enough time for me to order my dress? I have not even looked at all yet! I am in love with a Jim Hjelm dress from the Spring 2008 collection 8801.
I wanted to see:
A. Will I have enough time to order it and get it in for an October wedding; B. Where do they sell Jim Hjelm that you would recommend; C. There is a trunk show at Adrienne's in Islip in early March - is that enough time and has anyone gotten their dresses there?

hmmmm...i would contact the bridal salon and see...I know some of them take up to 14 months to get

Thanks so much for your advice. I just called Kleinfelds and they advised that I should come in by February because they take 3-6 months to order. So that should be fine. Does anyone have any other places they can suggest to purchase a Jim Hjelm dress?

I would call Adrienne's ask -- I know they do rush orders. I think RK bridal in the city has a pretty fast turn around.
Every designer and shop is different. I would start making calls soon!
And congrats on making a decision on where and when

Ahhh, I just called Kleinfeld and they told me it was $4500! I should prefix this by saying that last night I asked FH what he thought the appropriate amount for a wedding dress was in his mind and he told me $500! Haha, he might be in for a bit of a suprise then, loL!
