When to register..

Good morning! I was wondering when all of you began to register? Our engagement party will likely be in late May/early June, so I expect that I should before then. FH thinks it is way too soon now but I kind of can't wait to go pick out some pretty china patterns and glassware! Please let me know your thoughts!

Also, where did you register? I'm thinking Macy's and Bed, bath, and beyond - I would like a third. Perhaps Sur La Table. How far in advance do you need to make an appointment?

When to register..

I haven't registered yet and I probably won't until sometime next year since we are not having an engagement party. I'm thinking about registering at crate and barrel, bed bath and beyond, and williams sonoma.

When to register..

So my wedding is two weeks after yours and we already registered. We waited until after our engagement party (which was in January) and by doing so we got all cash gifts which was super helpful. If you want gifts I suggest registering before the party, if your hoping for money I suggest you wait until after your engagement party.

Also, we did register for things I knew wouldn't be discontinued, like appliances, dishes, pots & pans etc. I didn't register for bedding, towels, sheets, things like that.

We registered at Macys, BBB, and I will most likely register at Sur La Table or Williams & Sonoma this summer/fall.

I didn't make any appointment I just walked in.

ETA: I am always going on and adding/deleting things. If something gets discontinued you can delete it, or when you remember something you forgot you could add it later on.

When to register..

i dont think its ever too early to register..its not something that can be done all at once, i would start room by room so that you dont get overwhelmed...thats what i did, one trip to BBB i did kitchen, another day i did dining room...i would suggest going to the Westbury BBB because its huge and they have much more of a selection then other BBB's..i walked in without an appointment and they were so helpful. good luck!

Re: When to register..

FH and I are planning on having our engagement party late this August. We're figuring 2 weeks to a month before hand we're going to register for a few things. We're only going to tell people about our registry if they ask about it though.

I can't wait to register, FH is not as excited though haha

When to register..

We registered before we even planned an engagement party after an 'ugly gift with some meaning' incident. Lol. We registered at BBB, macys, and pottery barn.

When to register..

We didn't have an engagement party, but I still registered pretty early (In Feb.)- My mom told me it was a good idea to put some stuff on there now, so that before the shower, for birthdays and Christmas, we might get a few things. I registered at Macy's and created a Sandals Honeymoon registry.

When to register..

We registered really early-like two weeks after we got engaged. We have received a lot between the holidays and our recent e-party.
The only reason I'm concerned is we might get items that have a warranty but only for two years. We might not even wind up using some of this stuff for another two years!

I still haven't registered, but I will probably do so at the six months mark. I plan on registering at Macy's and BBB.
