I may have mentioned this before, but I have a friend who whenever I compliment her on her meals and ask her how she made something, she will not completely tell me.
I.e, she made a wonderful chicken this weekend ,so I ask her what she seasoned it with- she was like the 'usual', I asked her what does that mean, she goes whatever you season your meat with. What's up with that?
Do any of you do this and if so why? What is the big deal?
It is so funny- I come on this site and wonderful women like Latina511 ALWAYS give me recipes.

That is simply strange to be evasive when sharing recipes. What, will you have competition if theirs comes out as well as yours did? I, also like Christine, am flattered when people ask for a recipe for something and like Shamma said, the same recipe doesn't always come out the same twice!

I always share!! Although, most of my cooking is done not following a recipe but I can atleast basically tell you how to recreate it.
