what did/do you put it in? Is one of those big rubbermaid containters good? Also, how are you supposed to label everything? Did you do instructions for the people who set up?

we put everything in boxes. on top of the box we put our names, wedding date, and listed everything contained in the box. the BM goes over everything you drop off with you cause he has his own list and you can tell them how you want it set up.

Several rubbermaid bins labeled with permanent marker and then the additional stuff in regular brown boxes. We had a lot of stuffs.
ETA: We didn't type up instructions. I meant to, but we ran out of time. Poor Jose was taking copious notes. But we did tip him GENEROUSLY!

She said to put everything in boxes... I have some left over from moving so thats what i'll use... i dont want to use anything that im going to have to remember to take home with me

We didnt bring ours yet, but we will have just cardboard boxes. When I worked at Leonards, it made life much easier (for me) if you made detailed instructions about what you wanted (i am going to type up a list), you dont want to be bothered before/ during cocktail hour how things should be set up.

my rh told me to bring it the wednesday before- put everything in boxes marked with our names, date and room. also to have a typed up discription of where everything goes and what to do with them

We brought the favors in cardboard boxes and the other stuff in the boxes they came in (like the cake topper, flutes, cake cutter, etc).

i had everything in carboard boxes, labeled with out last name and room of the reception. i also taped notes to some of the items that i wanted to be placed specifically.....

we had one large bin and a few random larger items that didnt fit in the bin (card box, aisle runner, etc).
our Maitre D met us when we got there and we went through everything so he could make a list of everything that was in there and just reverify where everything was to be set up.

Thanks ladies! This was a HUGE help! I wanted to label everything and type up instructions just in case - I wasn't sure if i was being a huge control freak lol

I kept everything in boxes, typed out a very detailed list itemizing everything and I also labeled and have instructions on how to set up - what went where.
I would def do this and have someone hold a copy of your list for the end of night pack up. More than a few items never made it back from my RH and it kinda bothers me. Small things, but I feel like they grew legs and walked away...ya know?
