I don't think I did anything without thinking in the beginning. I pretty much knew right off the bat who my Maid and Matron of honor were going to be so I told them right away. As far as the rest of the BP I waited a little while to ask them.
I'm actually very happy I got a lot of stuff out of the way as early as possible (booking vendors and whatnot) because now I have breathing time to focus on other smaller WR things or just NWR things in general.

No but I took a lottttt of time researching each and everything I did. At first I was a little bummed we didn't go to look at more halls, but DH was so in love with JT and now I know for sure we made the right choice!

I whipped right into planning mode! I already had been thinking a lot about my wedding and had a binder with all sorts of ideas stuck into it. FH knew all about it, so in the car on the way home the night we got engaged, he was like 'So is the binder coming out tonight or tomorrow?' lol I know everyone says 'don't rush it, just enjoy being engaged.' But to be honest, our favorite thing to do has been planning the wedding! Visiting halls, finding *the one*, booking the florist, interviewing the DJ...even writing out the guest list and looking online for invitations have all been so much fun. Makes me feel like we're working toward the future. And since I already have so much booked and done, I can sit back and just 'enjoy' being engaged for the moment.

Nope. I got engaged Dec 23rd so FH didn't do ANYTHING for 2 weeks. The first thing we did was start looking at halls and didn't book anything until March. We saw enough halls that I knew I made the right decision.
Imo you shouldn't ask your BP more then a year in advance. Too many things can happen.

Nope; considering i've been engaged 13 months and so far have only had an engagement party! Hopefully we'll have the hall booked soon. Haven't done a single thing. Taking my time and avoiding all stress LOL!
ETA: I haven't even asked my BP yet; i'm really only having my sister & best friend. And MIGHT have FH close female friend. But that's about it...

I felt a little rushed since everyone kept asknig when are you getting married. I did feel pressure to book the hall which is the first thing we did and also people kept asknig where we were registered but I never thought what did I get myself into

Just maybe the actual date that we picked. I love the date because it is our Anniversary, but I would have prefered to get married in the fall of this year rather than next year. At the time we got engaged FH had been planning on us taking a vacation to Italy in Oct of this year, so he wanted us to push the wedding back to 2011. After we decided on the date we decided to push the vacation back to Oct 2011, so we could have had the fall wedding after all.
Oh well. It's a good thing cause it gives us more time to save though.

ITA !!!! I picked my BP Way TOO Early and my RH : ( I was too damn quick to writing checks, now im screwed

I didn't do anything for about 2 weeks then looked at all the RH I was interested in within 2 days and booked it the same week! This week we are seeing all the DJs we are interested in and will book by the end of this week.
Everything is happening so fast but I'm enjoying it and I know I'm still making rational decisions that are right for us so it's all good!
Plus I'm not a fan of super long engagements so it's more fun this way!

nope. we didn't do anything for the first couple of weeks of being engaged. it was right before christmas, so we just enjoyed the season (and i enjoyed showing off the ring). then we went on a cruise the first week in january.
when we got back, we booked the hall, the videographer, and the photographer. i have no regrets about any of them.
everything else i'm taking my time with.

i'll be honest..i felt rushed...no idea why now, but i did lol...did i do all my research? absolutley! did i still feel likei questioned some things? absolutley! but with that being said, we luckily had time to make those changes on 2 pretty big vendors and now we couldn't be happier! and i wouldnt take that back either...a lot went into making those changes and fh and i rerally excelled at the teamwork aspect of it and i wouldnt trade that in for anything!

Yes, I definitely feel I rushed into the hall... not that I don't love it but I don't know if this whole big wedding thing is really what I want. But it's too late now.

i definitely rushed , for no reason
i booked the 1st hall too soon and regretted it- canceled- lost the deposit and now love my new hall
i also blurted out some of my invitees and now regret it, i dont want to invite some of them anymore...
i didnt think through my bridal party and what role they would truly play in my wedding, but i still love my girls, in hindsight i may have not asked one of them to be in it

e-party my uncle was sick and visiting from florida 5 weeks after we got engaged soooo we planned it in 5 weeks.... turned out he died the week b4 :( and we had a service for him the day b4! no one wanted to party... its wasnt that good!
