I have visited 3 salons already and I went by myself to all of them. I dont know but when its comes to big things like my dress, I like to shop on my own. I am not going to have 10 mouths telling me what to do, if they like or dislike. I can figure that out on my own. After I have purchased the dress I will bring my mom and sisters to view it

i usually went with my SIL who is also my MOH. My mother came once but I wound up buying my dress with a co-worker on our lunch break ahahah

my mom, dad, FMIL, MOH and mom's best friend that is like family to me. But ill saying too many opinions can get you confused lol

My first bridal salon I went with my FSMIL (his step mom, i made that up lol) .. and his grandma, then the second time I went with his aunt and step mom .. but then I went back up to school so I had nobody to go with so I went by myself, and found my dress and took my dad and mom with me to see my final dress !! .. I didn't want to make my mom travel to much, because shes really sick, so I told her I would only take her when I was definite I was buying something!

at first i thought i would go with my mom and moh/friends......but now i think i am going solo or with my moh/friends only on my first visit...because my mom has scared the living ish out of me, recently told me she thinks i should wear a halter topped dress, she said that looks good on me...ummm....yeah when i go out for a night on the town with fh and want him to see me all sexied up NOT on my wedding day! SHOOOOOOOT ME NOW!
and of course i am bringing mom after i see what a halter topped dress looks on me without her saying that's the ONE! LOL!

just try it on you never know, i say try many different styles, you might end up with a dress you never thought you'd get.

I only brought my mom and sister (moh) for dress shopping. I really don't think I will ever bring anyone else bc I don't want everyone knowing what my dress looks like lol I like it to be a surprise. Also, I don't want to be getting so many opinions so I brought only two people.

The first time I went just with my friend, but it didnt seem like REAL wedding gown shopping until I went with my mom.
Also, my friends are likely to say 'that looks nice!' to everything, whereas my mom will say 'that makes your A** look big.' If youre going to take someone, take someone brutally honest! AND bring a camera - b/c you always look different when you see a photo of yourself.

I went the first time alone (Mom came there after i called her to tell her I wanted her to see one of the dresses), the second time I went with FSIL and the third time I asked FMIL and FSIL to come and see the one I loved....it was so much easier showing them the one I wanted versus trying on so many and having too many opinions...only my opinion counted on this one, honestly! It turns out that the one I love is the one other people love too..perfect!

I had my sister in law and my flower girl and mom the first day. They were great help but I soon realized I would be listening to them more then listening to what i wanted. So the next few times i had just my mom and she promised not to say a word until i figured out which dress i wanted. She kept her word. So best bet .. bring one or two and just make sure you listen to what you want and no one else.

everytime i went i was with my MOH 1) because i dont drive lol 2) i needed someone with me to give me an honest opinion of how it looked. so many times i try something on and think it looks nice but then when you were it out its kinda eh, so i made sure she was with me! lol
there is nothing worng with going alone, especially if you want it to be a surprise!
