yes it was a suprise, we had talked about getting engaged, but I didn't know when it was coming or how he was going to do it. He picked the ring out all by himself and everything.

I knew he had it for about 3 months before he gave it to me so i wasn't surprised.

Oh that is soooooo funny.
I didn't know he had bought the ring, but I totally knew we were getting engaged soon. The way he did it was such a surprise though.

I went with him to pick out the ring so I knew he had it, but he completely shocked me with the proposal.

It was kind of a surprise. We were at the mall one night and he made me try on rings in one of the jewelry stores. But I honestly didn't know which one he would pick. But I am very happy.

DH took me to jeweler for me to pick out the style ring I liked, but we both agreed that we should wait 2 years. Well, he didn't listen and he completely surprised me 4 months later when he proposed at sunset.

Funny story so hang in there!
Well we went ring shopping together but I had no idea when he was going to buy the ring. A month or two later, I get home and there's a Fedex slip on the door saying the delivery was attempted. I didn't really think much of it. I called FH at work asking 'A Fedex slip was on the door- are you expecting a package?' And he stumbled and said 'Um yeah...I'm expecting some things.' He said he'd go to Fedex on the way home and pick it up. Well I go to put the slip down on the table for him and I see the recipient- 'David S.' I put two and two together- David S Diamonds was our jeweler!!!! So naturally I'm bursting at the idea.
Well FH comes home with a big box in his hands and says 'Idiots sent my shirts to home rather than the office.' He works for Polo Ralph Lauren, and orders shirts all the time and they always go to his office. So then I felt like a real idiot and I'm kinda bummed.
Well...sneaky ol' me goes into the kitchen where that big box still lays. Something in me made me look at the address on the box - it had his office address!!!! He tried to cover it up with that package!! So I'm just dying of laughter inside.
So the whole time I'm expecting it to happen at a Yankees/Sox game we were going to. Days roll by....nothing. He completely surprises me on a Wednesday night as I'm making dinner!!!
Turns out he actually had to make a trip into the city to get the ring after all....and I was being such a pain in the butt that day, trying to get him to help me put together my classroom for the year. But he made up a story about going out with a friend to lunch.
What a good boy!!
I just think the cover-up was hilarious!!! And how bad I was to check on it!

Big surprise for me! i knew we would be getting engaged...just didn't know when...and totally wasn't expecting it when he did it! He even picked my dream ring out all by himself!

I knew it was coming, but didn't know when. We went ring shopping and then I left it up to him to do it when he wanted to. He left me hanging for months!!
