It was a surprise. He picked out the ring all by himself and surprised me while we were out east wine tasting.

Yeah i wouldn't even help him pick it out. I wanted him to do it all by himself. I wanted him to see a ring and think 'thats THE perfect ring for her'...but he was going crazy with the setting, and showed me ALOT of settings online, so this way i wouldn't get a clue as to which ones he was thinking about. So i finally said ok i wont tell you what to get but i'll tell you three things I don't like. That was the only guideline i gave hime.

I picked out my ring- so no surprise at all! Plus we ordered it online and had a 10 day insepction period, so I saw it and tried it on before we even got engaged!

me too! he proposed on our 10 yrs anniversary in mystic conn......picked out the ring himself.....and kept it a secret up until the night before we left for the weekend thats when he asked my father and mother for their permission....he didnt even tell his parents he was gonna do it!....he was soooooo mission impossible about it and it worked

yeah i had no idea either...he didn't do it right after he bought the ring, so this way he could surprise me. I was surprised, i only starting thinking it might happen a few mins before he did it, but i wasn't 100% sure, but it was still a huge shock when it did happen. I am an idiot an thought he was giving me the star he named after me, because i had found out he did that, so when he pulled something out of his pocked, i expected a certificate and then i was like wait thats a ring box lol. He also did give me the whole naming the star after me thing after he proposed

i kinda knew, he kept talking about it and asking me my ring size but really didnt think he would do it durning christmas time last year but crhistmas day when i opened i was shocked! i knew it was coming but didnt know when and didnt think he would do it on x-mas. so he threw me off a bit lol
