Priceless!!! I wouldn't have been able to overlook a Kay's invoice either..LOL I knew that a ring was coming but I didn't know when or what the ring would look like. I wanted FH to do it on his own. All I said was that I wanted white gold.

We have been together for over 7 years, so we had talked about it...he knew the ring type I loved, but he bought it on his own. He always told me that it would never happen on a holiday, and last Christmas we finished opening our presents to each other and a few minutes later he proposed...I was VERY surprised!!!! And of course, very happy!

i was suprised when it exactly happened, but i knew he bought the ring and was just waiting for the moment.

It was a complete suprise until one day I had to get something out of his glove box in his car and he yelled 'Don't go in there!!!!' I was like why not? put two and two together and I started to cry. Then it was a matter of waiting two months for him to propose hehe

It was a total surprise. I didn't even see it coming because we never discussed marriage.

Lmaoooo...I picked it out as a joke and he paid for it in my face while I stood there looking very stupid for about 10 minutes while he signed papers and stuff! But he's getting me another e-ring and I dunno when it's coming I'll keep ya posted if I find anything! This one is a toughie!

We talked about getting engaged a lot and spoke about looking for a ring while we were on a cruise that he took me on for getting my masters degree. He wanted us to pick it out together since he was so afraid of me not liking what he picked and we both felt it would be more special that way. We joked about how shocked everyone would be if we came home engaged. Well, we bought the ring on the trip and everyone was shocked.

i knew it was comming just didnt know the actual day. I knew he planned on doing it on our vacation but we talked abour it a few times and he kept playing it off that he wasnt gonna do it! Well surprise surprise he did it!!

TOTAL surprise because we'd been together 3 years but we had hit a rough patch a few months earlier and almost broke up two weeks prior to the engagement-basically him just being a silly boy. Pride over common sense so thankfully his friend who is going to be his best man and who I will love forever for making him see the light, intervened and asked a simple question? 'If you love her and wnat to marry her anyway, why are you resisting so much? You know her, she's great, we all love her, so what are you scared of?' (He told me months later)

Thankflly Pete went hmm yea I guess ure right. (He didnt want to have a long engagement-I am still in school-last year- so he was being hardheaded-wanted 6 month engagement and Im like uh NOOO that doesnt happen with planning bigger weddings!)

So anywho, we went tp my fave resturant -Mexican food- and all through dinner lol I noticed him sweating and looking queasy while I told some asinine story about my crazy family and a few times he opened and shut his mouth like a fish. When I asked what wqas wrong he snapped at me until finally I set my fork down annoyed and was like, 'peter what the hell is your problem? Do you have something to tell me?'

Him: 'What could I possibly have to tell you?'

Me: 'I haven't a damn clue. Is your food spicy?'

Him, grumpy: 'No.'

Me: 'hrmph.'

I looked down and saw him shift from the corner of my eye. When I looked up, he had the ring on the table, holding it out. He said, 'Jenny will you.'

Me: 'For me?'

'Him: 'No stupid for the girl behind you.' (mind you we were alone in the place lol cause it was an early dinner)

So yes I was surpised and I love my ring and him and all the world is happy :)

not a surprise. I dropped hints as to what kind of ring I liked but he got it himself and WOW its PERFECT!!! Then he tried to surprise me with it on vacation but I knew it was coming. I hate surprises.

I thought it was coming years ago and never got it so I gave up thinking I was getting it and when I least expected he proposed.

ahaha that is funny...I also kept bothering FI before he did it by asking over and over,what is wrong with you, i can tell something is wrong? You've been sooo quiet all day...until he was finally like ok i cant wait anymore lol.

i was totally surprise , i thought he wasnt ready yet , but he finally did give the ring!!!!

i knew ... i picked out the 2nd ring ... but i had no idea what the first ring looked like ... it was his great grand mothers...

I had no idea! We went to see a play in the city and then he said to take a carriage ride in central park. But there was no parking around so i said forget it and he kept saying no will find something. and usally he would be like ok lets go home. So i though something was up but not the engagment.

it was a complete surprise. i knew it would happen one day but i really had no clue he was up to something. the funny thing is i always said i know him so well he could never surprise me.....and he did!

i know people dont believe this but i had no idea- we were together 8 years at the time but he told me he had NO intention of getting engaged any time soon
the first time he ever let me LOOK at e rings he already HAD the ring at home! ( it was only 3 days before he proposed)

luckily he had bought a princess cut and that was the only clue i would give him - i wanted him to pick it out

the night he asked i was 100% surprised i had no idea it was even coming in the distant future and i am sooo glad he did it that way bc thats the only way i ever wanted it!

i actually hyperventilated and his family wanted to call 911!

Complete and total surprise. he picked it out all by himself over the course of a month on Sundays when he was supposed to be at a friend's watching football :) I love him!
