My rehearsal dinner invites are ordered -- Woohoo! Here's a picture (directions are printed on back).
I worked with The Designers Den online -- Laurie who I delt with is very sweet and accomodating. I had already dealt with her on my note cards, and when I wanted rehearsal invites, I browsed her site, and saw some cute ideas, but didn't love any of them. So I emailed her and she worked with me for what I wanted.
Definetly contact her -- she is very inexpensive, easy to work with and has a good product.
I am glad to be back & hooked up to the internet...I think I was going through LIW w/d...hahaha I am going to school for guidance and counseling... I want to be a school guidance counselor...
back to wedding stuff... my mom got my LI shower invite yesterday...since FH is from upstate I am lucky to have 2 showers... the 2nd one is closer to the wedding but I am looking forward to it... I think we will have my bachlorette pty that night as well...

That's great that you guys had your showers. I have no idea when mine is...I'm going to have to start dressing up every weekend just to make sure I'm prepared.
Same here! I got four RSVP's today!!!
I haven't had my shower either, but I know it's in 3 weeks!
So far I got 12 RSVP's back!!!!! only one no . I think my shower is in three weeks too!

We got our first no today. I'm sorry they can't go -- but it makes my life easier. It's someone from my office and now it means I have a perfect work table -- otherwise I'd have 2 too many.
I got the cutest outfit today from Macy's to wear to either my shower (hopefully someone is smart enough to give me a good excuse to get dressed up!) or my bachelorette.

So far we got 90 yes's and 3 no's. We are getting at least 10 a day. It's so exciting

Hi everyone!! I just found this posting today!!! I'm getting married November 6th and let me tell you SOO much is going wrong already. My florist screwed me and now I'm going to book La Blossoms and demand my deposit back from the other florist, can't imaging what else could go wrong. How is everyone else's plans going?

I'm getting to such a frustrating point in this planning process. I think that we are either right on time with our planning timeline or ahead of the game, but FH is getting freaked out that we have so many things to do. He is a graphic artist and therefore has a very creative side to him. He likes to get involved (even though he says otherwise). I like when he is involved but at times, it's too much for me.
Right now, we working on getting our bands, which is pretty much done. I left my engagement ring with our jeweler so that he can custom make my wedding band to fit around my engagement ring. FH already picked out his ring. I bought half of my bridesmaid's gifts. FH decided what that he wants to get the GM personalized tie-tacks. He just has to figure out all of their initials. We bought the materials needed to put together the rehearsal dinner invites and they'll probably go out next week.
I don't know how to handle FH. I feel like I'm going to lose it
Does anyone else have this problem???

Actually I'm the one freaking out with us. FH insists we have PLENTY of time to look at wedding bands. We ordered mine, but not his. And we don't have a florist yet, but I know who I want to use...

That's how I feel that it should be. I feel like I should be the one freaking out and he should be calming me down. But I am so calm about this and I'm really enjoying this whole time...until he starts stressing out. I know that I should be happy about how involved he is, but I almost wish that he would leave it all up to me.

I have to say FH is very involved and neither one of us are stressed out.
My bigger issue is him jumping ahead and doing things before they can be done correctly -- like spending time doing seating layouts before we even know if people are coming.
But he has been great with the invitations, and even helping out with the favors -- he can tie a pretty good bow when needed.
He is funny though, because whenever he asks what else has to be done, he quickly gets overwhelmed as I start to rattle off the list.
The only thing we are finding overwhelming is the lack of time we have for other stuff. We have some sort of wedding related appointment several times a week -- either solo or together. And I know its only going to get worse.
But overall we both have enjoyed all the planning.

wow...that's A LOT of rsvp's so far... I am not sure how many we have yet...some days we get 8 envelopes and somedays only one... ******** welcome Suzanne...glad you found this post...!!

INVITES are OUT!! YAHOO!! My mom ran into the lady she knew @ the post office when she and I brought them there. she promised to hand cancel them herself--someone tried to take them from her and she said ' No, these are mine-it's ok!' yahoo!! Just pulled out the ones heading to FLORIDA--wasn't sure they'd be getting mail down there, plus with the holiday. she said she'd have them on her 12:30 truck!! woohoo!! just a few more to address and send!

FI calls me everyday to let me know how many little envelopes we got in the mail. He gets just as excited about as I do. Finally!!!!!!!

we actually didn't get any responses on saturday... maybe people are busy with the holiday weekend... my one BM told me she was def going... , but that she may forget to send back the RSVP... good thing shes going...hahaha
