I`m a Miller Place Inn Bride - 4/29/01 (LONG)
To sum up the Miller Place Inn in one word ... AMAZING!!! My wedding was absolutely perfect thanks to the friendly, helpful and courteous staff. They took care of everything from start to finish and I didn`t have to worry about a thing so I could enjoy myself. I dealt with Buddy Marino and he was so great ... a real professional who knows and performs his job well. Our Matrie`d for the evening was Larry. He was great too ... always checking up on us to see how we were doing, making sure we ate and just made sure the entire evening went perfectly. My bridal attendant was (I think) Debbie ... FANTASTIC! Everytime I turned my head, she was there asking us if we were ok, if we needed anything, did we want a drink, etc. In fact, the only reason I got to eat at the cocktail hour was because she went and got me a plate of food about 15 minutes before the coctail hour ended. Actually, today was my first day back at work since the wedding and all my friends were raving about what a beautiful place it was. They even mentioned that every time they got up from the table, they would return to find that their napkin had been folded! Nice touch! I could go on and on about what a beautiful place it is and what a prefect wedding it was, but I`ll stop here. But, if you have any questions, just ask ... I`ll be more then happy to answer them for you.

Girls- Congrats on your marriages/weddings. Mine will take place at Miller Place Inn on June 30 and im ready!! We've received almost all of our RSVPs and cant wait to choose our menu and cake. When should we expect to get a call from them at MPI to set up the menu and choose the cake? Ive heard nothing but rave reviews and we're still so happy that we picked Miller Place Inn. Every little bit of advice helps...even what i should remember to ask when i DO go back. Thanks in advance...Stacey 6-30-01

Questions about Miller Place Inn
I hope I'm not being too forward but I have a question about the Miller Place Inn. About how much is it per person on a Friday night? What about a Saturday night? Thanks a lot!

Questions about Miller Place Inn
It all depends on what month you wanted to have your reception. November - April are off peak months so the prices are VERY AFFORDABLE ... and the prices go up in May and June ... then they dip a little in July and August and then they go back up in Sept and Oct. And I think I remember them telling me that the prices go up a bit around Christmas time also.

Marni, I don''t know a price but I do remember them telling me that the price is slightly higher in December because the grounds and the inside are beautifully decorated for Christmas. But I can tell you that the MPI is afforable no matter what month you get married in. I just got married there three weeks ago and it was worth every penny!

Stacey--I`m a Miller Place Inn Bride - 4/29/01 (LONG)
If I remember correctly they called me about 2 months before to come in and do the cake and menu. I think we wound up meeting just a few weeks before the wedding to get it all settled. The cake was fabulous!

Lia - Thank you!
Thanks for your help Lia. I may have to resort to a Friday night or Saturday afternoon - I just don't think I'm going to be able to afford a Sat. night. Thanks for all your help though. Do you know if they have an indoor ceremony area? And by any chance, do you know their minimums for guests? Thanks again. AND CONGRATULATIONS!!

Lia - Thank you!
Don`t feel as if you have to resort to anything ... a lot of people have Friday and Saturday afternoon weddings. Actually, I had a Sunday evening wedding and it was perfect. I refused to pay and arm and a leg just to have it on a Saturday night. Just know that what ever night you choose, it will be BEAUTIFUL!! I highly recommed the MPI!!! I`m not sure if they have a place for an indoor ceremony, but I don`t think so. They only have two main rooms ... one for the cocktail hour and one for the reception. I think the minimum is 125 guests. You should definately make an appointment to go see the place ... it`s beautiful and the food is delicious. I`m still getting calls about how nice my wedding was. If you have anymore questions, just ask!

Lia - Thank you!
Thanks again. I'll definitely call them, but unfortunately I need a place that has an indoor ceremony area (interfaith marriage here). So if they don't, I can't have it there. Thanks so much again!Welcome New Vendors
