i wasnt into the club scene, but the Rave scene back then

i went to tunnel alot, and exit and limelight for a bunch of raves, my ex was really into techno and acid techno

My stomache is in knots just reading these posts...brings back alot of memories, and it seems like another lifetime ago.

eta; anyone go to raves? key skate in bronx, the quarry?
any boo's? or 420 parties?
I miss the dj's sometimes i am tempted to go to a rave again

Actually FH got his good friend an opening position for Richie Santana and mindcontrol at Pacha this fri night/sat AM... its my first time in a club in awhile bad news lol

Oh man, I was hoping the SF documentary would be better then that. Who was that douche bag doing the commentary? And whats up with the......whats better...... kids drinking and driving or kids doing e at a club all night. You know how many people I know of who are ****** up TODAY in 2008 from the E and K they did in the NYC clubs back in the late 90's, early 2000's..... I love SF and Tunnel too, but that video was ******, LOL

yeah i was a bit disappointed with it too, that was more like a documentary on that one guy

i agree, sadly people wont see the real effects of E until this generation gets to about 40 years or so and starts with signs of alzheimers but let me stop there i dont want to freak ppl out

I know this one kid, (well hes a man now), that was a friend of my boyfriend at the time who used to go to Exit, Tunnel and SF with us, and he, like everyone else it seemed, was smoking weed AND taking E all the time when they would go.

Anyway, I found out through the grapevine that he now has schitzophrenia (spelling?) and the doctors say it is from all the E and other drugs he took when he was in his late teens , early 20's. This kid was incredibly outgoing, popular, outspoken. would hit up SF every Saturday night....and today....he is in a 'special home' b/c he cant function in real society. it is so sad. The doctors are saying its more common then people think for something like that to happen, and like Denise said....some people wont see the effects until they are middle-aged.

Sorry to be a downer but I just wanted to say that for all those who watched the SF video with the kids back then implying it was so cool and no problem to be actively involved in the drug scene every week at that time. I was one of the few (and I mean few, lol) who DIDNT take E, K or even smoke weed for the most part, so I saw the other side of it when I was in the clubs....watching my friends having the best time but man it aged them by them time they were all done with that scene....f-ed some of them up!

Yeah, I was on the same side of it as you. I know a few ppl now that tripped and never came back. One also has bells palsy on one side of his face ..and it will never go away :(

But free admission for you and your guests is always great! And also a different line to get in.

yeah crobar closed about a year ago, it was stereo for a bit and that was doing good but dont know what happened. Ive been hearing its going to be mansion for a long time now but hasnt opened up. Meanwhile they do have parties in that space.

My friend promotes providence so we went there bc it was his birthday and he had a big party there. It wasnt bad but like i said there was a big group of us in one section. Myst i went to a year ago its the old quo right across the street of crobar. It gets REALLY packed bc i never thought that place was big but it has more space than quo did. It wasnt bad, the music was pretty good that night. We had went to AER first before going to myst that night and it was real bad, meanwhile i always hear so much about it and within 10 mins of being there i was like lets get out of here.
