Where are my RSVP's?

I have only 2 days left until my RSVP date and 120 people still have to respond! I'm so nervous because from my calculations we're gonna be about 35 people below my minimum...if people would just answer back then I'd be able to know for sure. I have a feeling my mom and FMIL are gonna be busy on the phone this weekend tracking all these people down. We stamped and addressed the envelope for them...what does it take to check off a little box with a YES or a NO and put it in the mailbox?

give them a few days after the RSVP deadline. some ppl are retarded and think that the deadline is the last day they can SEND out the RSVP.

but either way, i'm sure you will still have to be making lots of phone calls. trust me, i know how you feel!

I feel your pain I am so sorry. These people just dont get it!!!!!! I was in the same boat... but a lot will come in next week.....

people are so rude- what is wrong with people?

i can understand one or two here or there ya know? but for 100+ people to not RSVP- they are just being inconsiderate!!

my mom had to call people for my engagement party-- the same people either wait until the last minute every time there's a party or need to be called the day OF the RSVP date or the day after... it's so annoying! they act like they are GRACING you with their RSVP

my mom called a few people for my e-party and one was like 'oh i had until tomorrow to call- so it's really not late' yeah ok keep telling yourself that! my mom was like 'ugh just admit that you don't give a damn' if the RSVP date is june 1st then you don't have until june 2nd to call lol you have until JUNE 1ST!!!

ok this turned into a vent from me lol lol

so sorry-- i hope they ALL come in within the next day or so

Its like you just typed my exact thoughts. I also have 2 days left, approx. 120 people to respond and same thing. I just dont get it. Its not like its 10 responses, Im waiting for like 62, hardly overreacting, I think. Oh well, 38 days and it'll all be a memory. Hang in there darlin, we'll all get through it

FMIL's family is dragging their feet too. They say 'of course we're coming'. HELLO I have 155 people, I'm just supposed to assume this? If so, why did I mail you an invite then?

I would give them a few days I have 10 that didn't make the deadline and came in days later.
Also keep in mind this was a holiday weekend no mail on mondays. But if you are still worried call a few of the people or ask family if they know if so and so mailed out the RSVP just to double check if the Post office is slow ...and if not ask the Post office

Same problem Date Twins 85 Yes 22 No 75 no response yet but they give me the were coming we promise. Ok so your coming from Michigan but you didn't get a hotel or plane flight yet.. but your coming. Freakin me out.... I tell ya ....Freakin me Out!!!!

When is your final answer due to the RH ?

Give people another week or so, especially because of the holiday weekend. Then start making the phone calls.

i purposely made my RSVP date 6 weeks before the wedding. 2 week allowance for stragglers to respond, 2 weeks to track all the MIAs and 2 weeks to give the final count.
Less stress for me !

Why can't people just put them right back in the maibox as soon as they get them!!!

There can't be 120 people that are not sure whether they can go or not!!!

my wedding is in 2 weeks... and am still missing about 15 RSVP's.. my motto you don't have the time to write your name on a little piece of paper or check off a box put it in an already addressed and stamped envelope you don't deserve the right to spend the 6 hours and celebrate with fh and I.. so people who didn't have time to respond or answer a phone call or return a message don't deserve the time with fh and I and the people who had the time to write their name on a card and put it in the mail and there won't be a chair at the rh for them b/c they are being counted as a BIG FAT NO.

I hear you loud and clear! This is sooooooooo frustrating! i am going through the samething!

and to top it off, about 5 days prior to my rsvp date, i messaged some friends and to give them a friendly reminder, yet i still havent received their rsvp- after reminding them the deadline was near!


what is wrong with people!

and here is another vent! I hear a lot of brides say that you get surprised by who comes to the wedding and who doesnt- well im going through that now. and the worst part is, the people i expected to come but arent, didnt even write a little note expressing their regret!

go figure!

That is exactly how to handle these situations -- phone calls? why bother - some people are just jerks
