A conversation was started on another post and I thought it might be interesting to just have a post for it!
I have been chatting with some of you lovely ladies and have learned that several of you are like me which is not borned and raised in NY.
I am from IL and came to NY for an internship at HKNC. I met my FH online after living here for a year! Now my perm. address is NY!

I was born In Colombia
However, I was brought to the US when I was 5. I was raised in Queens, moved to Long Island 2 years ago.

I was born and rasied in Anchorage, Alaska. I left home in 1998 when I was 17 for college in Orono, Maine. Transferred to RIT in Rochester, NY in 2000. Moved to Ronkonkoma, NY in 2003 with my ex. Then in 2004 we broke up and I moved to Freeport. I then moved to Rockville Centre in 2005, met FH through my roommate at the time. Then I moved again to Long Beach in 2006, Freeport in 2007, and then to my current address in Baldwin! That is my long list of moves!!

Born and raised in Iowa...moved to Long Island in 2002 and met FH in 2004. New York is also my permanent address although ocassionally I try to talk FH into moving to Iowa because I miss my family

Born and raised in California. Moved here in 2003 after college. Moved back to CA in 2007. Moved back to NY in 2008. Permanent home is NY for now for work. But would love to make it back to CA.

Born in Buffalo, NY; transplanted to Nashville at 14; came home to B-lo for college ( where FH and I met); and gave it all up to move to this strange land of NYC/ Long Island. A year in Manhattan, a year in Queens, and now RVC is my hometown.

Born in Deer Park, New York (lived there till I was almost 2)
Moved to Williston Park (ages 2-20)
Moved to Huntington (ages 20 to present)
FH are probably going to stay on Long Island.
