Re: Where are you getting married?

I am most likely getting married at a church. Well the only reason we wouldn't get married at the Church is if the 2 churches I like are not available after we book the Hall.

I am more interested in getting the hall on the day we want then the Church. So we will see haha

In hopefully 2 weeks I will have a hall booked. Especially since FH comes home on Sat and said he doesnt mind checking out about 4 to 5 halls in a day!!!

is this seen as being married in the Catholic Church? Just curious cause I would do this also and since a deacon is from the Catholic Religion I wasnt sure if the Church would recognize it or not?

Have you thought about getting married at Kings Point USMMA. If you do they have the church right next to the reception hall and they are usually free on the same day. It is such a beautiful place and since your FH is in the military I am pretty sure you qualify to get married there.

Check out there website. although it kinda stinks for wedding since they are not allowed to advertise but there are a few reviews on here.

good luck finding a RH

I don't think it is, unfortunately.

Most likely we are getting married in a church. We have to take care of some things first...

no unfortunately it is not recognized by the catholic church if you marry outside the church period, no matter who does it

I hope to get married in a Catholic Church but we've hit a few snags along the way so it looks like we might have to rethink the whole thing.
Which is scary b/c we have our reception hall booked and are hiring vendors but we don't know where we'll be MARRIED yet! Ugh.

We are being married in my RC church; likely by the parish priest. We are considering having a friend's brother preside over the ceremony (he's studying to be a priest and will hopefully be far enough into his studies).
