Where are you getting married?

Have you thought about getting married at Kings Point USMMA. If you do they have the church right next to the reception hall and they are usually free on the same day. It is such a beautiful place and since your FH is in the military I am pretty sure you qualify to get married there.

Check out there website. although it kinda stinks for wedding since they are not allowed to advertise but there are a few reviews on here.

yeah I actually joke around with FH about having a Marine Corps wedding and having the men in their uniforms with the swords and FH in his Dress Blues and he laughs...but we might think about it the only thing is if he doesnt reinlist he doesnt want to do it there. And most likely he wont re-inlist unless htey offer him mucho $$$$

is this seen as being married in the Catholic Church? Just curious cause I would do this also and since a deacon is from the Catholic Religion I wasnt sure if the Church would recognize it or not?

no unfortunately it is not recognized by the catholic church if you marry outside the church period, no matter who does it

Im getting married at a GO chuch right next to my mom's house in Brookyn.

His Uncle will do it in Greek (b/c he doesnt know english) and the Priest in the Church will do it in English.

His uncle will do the crowns .....

RC church...and we're having a full mass

Are you converting to Judiasm? I think as stated before about being married by a deacon, the church will not recognize your marriage...leading to problems when you have kids and want to have them baptized....just wondering.

Yeh lol. Isn't Joe's parish Immac? I made my first sacraments there, then the rest at St. Francis. Both are gorgeous churches.
