Re: Where are you going on your Honeymoon?
Sandals St. Lucia...
All-inclusive for less than $5000
We booked it before Jan 1st '05 for our August '05 trip.
And b/c we did that, we got 40% off the room rate. A good tip for those who need to book for '06!

Re: Where are you going on your Honeymoon?
We are going to Cabo San Lucas in Mexico, staying at a One & Only Resort Palmilla which is a super place with your own personal butler, etc. the whole nine yards. We are paying $3600 for a week including airfare, because we booked it on Orbitz and got a great deal. It's a 5 star luxury hotel & the travel agent didn't even have it AT ALL, expedia & travelocity have no availability there or packages. My boss was just there and that's the only reason I knew of it. She said a lot of celebs were there because it's very, very private/quiet. This company One & Only also has a resort, The Ocean Club in the Bahamas and some other resorts around the world. Website is www.oneandonlyresorts.com I believe. Definitely take a look at Palmilla and book online if you're trying to save money.

Re: Where are you going on your Honeymoon?
Vermont first, for a long-weekend mini-honeymoon(right after the wedding) and then Italy and Greece for 3 weeks, for our second honeymoon (in the summer.) I'm a teacher and don't want to take a really long honeymoon so early in the school year.

Re: Where are you going on your Honeymoon?
We are going to St. John for 11 days We are staying at The Westin. Not sure how much it would cost, its my parents timeshare and my parents are giving it to us for the 11 days. Whats good about going to St John is that you can take day trips to the BVI, St Thomas and St Croix or you can just relax on the quite island of St. John. I cant wait!!!

Virgin Gorda (BVI), 8 days, 7 nights at Little Dix Bay resort (www.littledixbay.com), total with airfare about $5500...includes a package with 3 dinners, two massages, manicure, pedicure, drop off at a private island for lunch, pick up and drop off at Tortola by ferry.

Re: Where are you going on your Honeymoon?
We are doing St. Lucia, but instead of Sandals, we opted to stay at the all-inclusive Jalousie Hilton. It is nestled between the Piton mountains on the other side of the island and we have our own oceanfront villa with plunge pool. Yum! We are going for 8 nights and it is around $6K I think (FH booked it).
We are going to Aruba for a week (it's FH's family's timeshare so there isn't a price)
Then a 7 night Royal Caribbean cruise to the Southern Caribbean, St. Thomas, St. Maarten, St. Lucia, Antigua, Barbados and Puerto Rico. That was $2500 for two not including airfare.

Re: Where are you going on your Honeymoon?
I know exactly how you feel.. Planning my honeymoon was hell. I am a teacher so I had to book it during December break. We wanted to go to Aruba but EVERY hotel was booked(and that was 10 months in advance) Then we ran into the problem of everything being so expensive since it is Christmas break. We ended up booking Hawaii which was actually the cheapest for that week. For 7 nights and airfare it was 4,200 total. Good luck!

This place looked amazing, but was just too much $$ for our budget . . . I would definitely consider it!
