I bought a large frame from Michael's and FH is going to custom cut a mat to fit... but while in Target the other night, they sell it done, but it was about $45 with the mat cut already.

Ours was held underneath the matte part and then glass was put over that. We did not use glue.

We bought ours at Pottery Barn.

THey have a similar one in Target, it had a white frame and held I think a 4x6 picture and it was $14.99.

I bought mine at Michaels with the mat already in it. It was about $40 but I had the 40% off coupon so I got a good deal.

I dont have a pic of it on my computer right now bt if you go to my review and view the video recap of my wedding you will see the board both unsigned and signed.

We love it, we have it hanging in our dining room right now.

Exclusively weddings (website and catalog) has one also. You can get a little engraved plaque for the frame too.

How do you do it? Bear with me I am new to all of this.

The mat is signed by guest at the wedding with what type of pen? Where did you get the stand to hold the mat.

After all the signatures are on the mat do you then put the glass over it.

you've got it, the matte is used instead of a guest book. Once the wedding is over you put the glass back into place and you have a more 'functional' guest book. You can pretty much use any decent pen to write on it.

Even though mine is for my baby shower, I made mine from Michael's. They have all different size frames and matts there, so you can pick and choose what size you'd like. I asked the girl that worked there and she said the gelly pens work good on those matts.
