Where can I find a cheap (not gross) NYC hotel for BP night?
I found a nice hotel on Priceline for $144...Holiday Inn Wall Street...but then I saw the room only has 2 single beds. All the other rooms just have one queen or king bed. Sheesh! And everything else I find is over $200. Any ideas? I've checked Travelocity, Orbitz and Hotels.com.

Did you try naming your own price on Priceline? That way you can pick the area and the number of stars the hotel has.

I was going to try that but it didn't look like you could say how many people and I am worried I would wind up with only 1 bed.

BookingBuddy.com is great! You can put in your date and people per room on booking buddy and they let you do a quick search on all of those sites. Try expedia too. They always give me the best price. What night are you looking for? I can look around. I think i was a travel agent in a past life b/c I love this stuff

I haven't had a problem with this, we've just requested that we wanted double beds at the front desk when we get there.

You are right, everyplace is so expensive (its a weekend) and only fit two people. I found this one though: Hampton Inn New York Chelsea on 108 W 24th St It was $250, but it has two queen beds, so you can get 4 people in there and split the cost.
A lot of places were also sold out already Good Luck
