Where can I find a good pea coat?

I need a new winter coat... I want a basic black pea coat, but something warm enough for the winter. Where can I find a nice warm one for not too much money? (Preferabley under $250). I looked in J.Crew, but the ones they had there were really thin. I need a heavy one.

Anyone? Thanks!

it might not be the 'colest ' place to shop but Army/navy is where i got mine and its great.

I bought another one form macys and its nowhere near as heavy and warm.

I have gotten mine from the Gap, and I know they have nice ones at Burlington Coat Factory, also.
