where can i get great, inexpensive alterations

hi ladies,
i need help! i can't believe my wedding dress store is asking 400 -500 for alterations (bustle and hem)... i'm hoping for a referral to something more affordable. (everyone can't be THIS expensive, right?) at the same time, i want someone who can do a great job on my alterations and not ruin my dress.

Hi. if you don't mind me asking...where are you getting your dress? My alterations are capped at $200.

Why not look into ordering your dress from a store with a lower alteration cap? Lillette's caps at $295.

that's the thing. I bought my dress from demetrios, but i have a family member employed there and got it for a discount.... so i didn't buy it from the store. she ordered it for me in Florida and is having it shipped here.
