Reception is at 7pm in Centerport (thatched cottage)
We were hoping to take pictures at the Vanderbilt Museum but someone is having tentative wedding there, so we are on a waiting list.
In case it doesn't happen. where else can we look? My photographer had eye on the vanderbilt, not to keen on Centerport Beach, any ideas? Where is the Northport docks in comparison to the TC?

What about Argyle Lake or Cutting Arboretum? Or even Robert Moses Beaches? FI Lighthouse? Belmont Park?
Are you getting married at OLOG?

It's East Islip/ Great River. You can take Montauk Hwy or take Sunrise and get off at the split (by the old Grumman plant)

There is also Bailey Arboretum in Locust Valley and Planting Fields Arboretum in Oyster Bay.

Yes we are getting married in OLOG. I love Argyle Lake, but there is always too much goose poop. The arboretums are just a tad too far, we are hoping to get everything done by 7pm for cocktail hour and will be at the hall at 6pm to take pictures.
Argyle's location is great, I wish I could find the docks at northport..we drove out there today but no luck!

We took ours at SUNY Farmingdale ornamental gardens....they were gorgeous!

I'm pretty sure I called Administrative Services at Farmingdale and they put me in touch with the right person. The fee is kind of high ($250), but they are beautiful!

Definitely check out Northport Harbor. It is about 10 minutes from Thatched Cottage. You just continue down 25A and you will get there. I used to live in northport...my sister took her pics there and they were gorgeous! The docs are there, the gazebo and there is a park...Also, you are right on this quaint little street with some old fashioned looking stores!

Northport harbor is very nice, but there is a lot of goose poop there sometimes. There is a nice little beach in Kings Park by the Old Dock Restaurant. If you don't mind walking in the sand!! Our pictures came out beautiful, I will try and post some when I get a chance. We got married and it was off season so you didn't have to show residency, not sure if you aren't a resident if they will charge you to get in. It is about 20 minutes from TC.
