looking into going shopping for our wedding bands. any suggestions of where to go? i have a 10% coupon for fortunoff if i were to buy a wedding band there because i'm registered there.

both we got at tiffany's..... you won't get the best price, but prices are more competitive than you may think, it's great quality, amazing design, and their customer service can't be beat....

how's the durability of white gold compared to platinum? does white gold scratch easily. it's cheaper than platinum but not sure whether to go for cheaper or more durable. my engagement ring is platinum. will it be noticeable if i go for a white gold wedding band?

my ering is platinum and i bought a white gold wedding band and i dont notice any difference whatsoever.....bought white gold for fh too....platinum is better and lasts longer but if u dont want to spend more money than opt for the white gold.....our bands are beautiful and u figure u might want to change them as u get older anyway

that's good to know. i was worried they would look different when sitting next to each other. my budget is getting a little out of hand and i may have to sacrifice a platinum band with a white gold for now.

FH is gonna get my wedding band from either Zales or Helzberg Diamonds. They both guarantee the diamonds for the lifetime of the ring so long as you have it inspected every 6 months. He got me e-ring from Helzberg Diamonds in Roosevelt Field and all the girls there are so friendly and helpful.
they use enviro-friendly 'green' gold, and do all custom design work - and the prices are VERY fair!
She's still working on mine... I can't wait!

Us too! FH had too many problems at Zales with an engagement ring and I know one of the girls on the '08 boards had major problems with them too.

I found this too! I was very suprised. We ended up getting our rings through a friend of FH's family. We priced out what we wanted before ordering and Tiffany had the best prices for what we got - like $100's less than other places! I guess they make their $ on the e-rings and give you a break on the bands!
