Where did you get your birdal gown? Post pics?

Hey All,

I am about to start shopping for the bridal gown.
Where did you all go and have positive experiences? Where should I watch out for?
Do you have pics of which you picked? Post' em.
If I know I am going to loose 20lbs over the next year before wedding - what do you do with getting the dress??? Help... please.

I've also heard wonderful things about Geri.

I highly recommend Lillette's, they are the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got my dress at Bridal Reflections in Carle Place. I have had nothing but good experiences there so far, so don't always listen to what other people have to say because everyone's experiences are different. For example, I had a bad experience at Kleinfeld for me, but a great experience there with my mom - she wound up buying her dress there. So it all depends on who you work with. Good luck!

I got my dress at H&S Bridal in the City in the Bridal Building (1385 Broadway). There are tons of stores in there that sell dresses. I also went to RK Bridal and they have a large selection of popular designers. Macys only carries Demetrios so you should check out the demetrios website before going in case those styles of dresses don't appeal to you.

I don't have a picture of my dress but if you go on the Maggie Sottero website, it's called Ophelia. Sorry, FH is around and I don't want him to see!

As for weight, order close to your current size b/c a lot can happen in a year. It's always better to order bigger b/c they can always take it in while if you order too small, they'll have a hard time letting it out if they need to. HTH.

I've been to Lillettes and they seem nice. I don't know why I can't remember the name but there's another bridal store in Lindenhurst near Chateau La Mer and they were super helpful to me and my bridesmaids.

I bought my dress at kleinfelds and had the best experience...was never asked about a budget, they were no pushy, judith who helped me was an absolute sweetheart and infact was trying to convince me to save money...They went above and beyond

burton's bridal in melville. loved them. lilettes in baldwin is not so bad, but there alterations dept is horrible. here is my dress:

Bridal Suite of Bay Shore. Great to try on dresses there...but not crazy about their salespeople and I won't be getting my alterations done there. Super helpful while 'looking' but once it came down to putting money down she was really rude.

I plan on losing weight and she was so nasty about ordering me a size smaller than she 'measured' me for. I had to sign something saying that is the size I wanted.

I purchased my bridal gown at Paradise Bridal and Tuxedos in Patchogue. The people who work there have been very helpful to my FH and I. They have also been helpful to our wedding party. My bridal gown is a Justin Alexander. I don't know how to post photos on the computer yet but as soon as I figure out. I will be posting photos. I hope that I helped you out.

I got my dress at Lidia's in Copiague. They have the best customer service and are nothing but accommodating in every way. The salon is beautiful and they have a really nice selection of reasonably priced gowns. I highly, highly recommend them.
