Where did you get your bridesmaid dresses?

Where did you get your bridesmaid dresses?

I'm trying to find the best place to go...I have a large BP and I'm gonna try to schedule a day where we can all go together and hopefully get it done in one shot

So which place is the best in terms of service, selection, alterations, etc?

I'm in Suffolk

Anndddddd did you ladies take your girls out to lunch afterwards? My SIL did this for us when we went for our dresses and I thought it was really a nice gesture...then again, it was only 3 of us. I have 9.....

Is this a requirement? It would be nice for all of us to go out because my BP (for the most part...besides some major drama that I hope is in the past) are friends with each other. If we do go out to lunch and I don't pay...is this tacky??

I picked Davids Bridal because their dresses come in quick are good prices and they have stores linked in diff states and I have BP out of state so it made it easy

This... it is our wedding not theirs so I did them a favor and decided not to save 'hey pay $300 for a dress you'll never wear again'... DB all the way!

Bridal Reflections. Yes I did take them all out to lunch afterwards.

I used a place up here, MA....(ariadress.com)... and we just went last Saturday. Unfortunately the entire party wasn't able to make it up here (One is in CA) but Yes, I did take them out to lunch afterward. I thought since I made them change out of countless dresses and spend their valuable time, it's the least I could do... plus it's Lunch! It's a cheap meal!

Priscilla of Boston (half my bridal party is coming from Boston and half are here in NY) and yes I took them to lunch after.

Alexandra's Boutique in Forest Hills. I believe the original price was $175 and they gave it to us for a grand total of $157 (but they do not do alterations so you would need to go elsewhere for that. They do recc. a place).

What a fantastic idea! Thanks! Since I have a bunch of rowdy drinkers we can even maybe order some pitchers of beer too

We went to Bridal Reflections in Massapequa. They have a large selection of dresses, but I already had one in mind when we went in there. They are very nice and accomodating in there. My advice would be not to go on a Saturday, if you can help it. It was soooo busy in there! Made it a little difficult because I brought 5 girls with me. We did not do anything together after dress shopping. I would have liked to, but 2 had to work, and 2 had plans, so they were happy to get out of there asap LOL

I unfortunately used princess bridals in farmingdale they were nice until deposits were paid then became just aawful whatever you do dont make the same mistake

ME TOO! SOme of my BP are young so asking for them to spend a lot on a dress they will prob. never wear again was out of the questions..and 3 of my BMs are from out of state so its a heck of a lot easier!

Bridal Reflections in Massapequa

I went there beforehand and picked out the dress. The day of my engagement party we went for the girls to see the dress and try it on. We had my engagement party right after.

My BMs also got a discount on their dresses since I bought my dress from Bridal reflections.

me too! i also purchased my dress from Centereach Bridal Suite and they are so nice there. my girls dresses arent ridiculously overpriced either!!!!

davids bridal in massapequa park. I love the fact they have such a variety of colors, and are very affordable.

But I wouldn't recommend going to that location.The Lake Grove store was very accommodating.

I got it from the Bridal Suite of Centereach..

they matched the wedding center prices. (they took off $30 each dress to match the price)

we didn't order yet, but i'm going to get my gowns from Bridal Elegance in Huntington. They gave me a price $60 less than Bridal Reflections in Carle Place and it was by far the best price I got from any other salon that carried Watters WTOO gowns.

planning on bringing all of my girls to lunch after - maybe something like pizza or chinese lunch specials. i have 9 also PLUS my grandma, mom, and my two aunts and FMIL will probably come with us.

so i'm trying not to break the bank! no one ever did this for me before, i just think it's a nice gesture.
