where did you get your gown?

Original post by weddingbunny

Trying to decide where to go for dress shopping next week. I was going to go to Adrienne's, but it seems a lot of folks have had trouble with them. So, where else? I'm looking to keep the prices absolutely no higher than $2,500 (hopefully including alterations), and lower is better (but not lower quality). Thanks!

I haven't picked a gown yet.. but I have been to:

Bridal Reflections in Carle Place
Paradise Bridal in Patchogue
Iman in Brookville
Wedding Salon of Manhasset in Manhasset
Macy's in Lake Grove

Some other places I will probably check out...
Adrienne's in Islip
Bridal Suite in Huntington
Burton's in Huntington
Princess Bridal in Farmingdale

.......Yes i am a shopper haha. I do have 3 gowns in the running right now!

another vote for burtons....they're on old walt whitman road in melville/huntington. Here's their website: www.burtonsbridals.com Their price beat a very well known salon by a lot of money and they were even less expensive then RK The designers they carry are on their website and if they don't have the sample you can still order any dress from that designer through them. I went to The Wedding Salon of Manhasset but I have 2 friends that went to Charmet in Bayside. Loved the service and alterations. One got her dress for $500 and the other for $1600 both including alterations. I would have never guessed they spent so little on their dresses. The price did not effect the quality! Good luck in your search!

Another Burton's vote. I found my dress online, tried it on at Beautiful Bride in Lynbrook, bought it at Burtons for $350 less than Beautiful Bride.

I ordered my dress from Burton's but originally found it in Bayshore Bridal Suite. I saved $200 by ordering it at Burtons, plus we ordered bridesmaid dresses through them and saved 20%. It is off of 110 not far from the expressway. Its right behind Pizza Hut. Its on Old Walt Whitman Rd. I think it is actually considered Melville, not Huntington. You can google it for directions and the website will tell you what designers they can order from. They don't have a big selection there, but they can order almost anything. I would definitely suggest shopping around first and when you find what you want, then go to Burtons.

I went to Bridal reflections and had a horrible experience. They can be very rude. I ended up buying my dress from Priscilla of Boston. they were fabulous there!!!!!!!!

lillettes is fabulous!! i found 'the one' there....

also, the service and selection at bridal garden in bethpage is wonderful. and they don't carry dresses over $1000, which is great for the babe on a budget

I am going this Sunday to the Bridal Garden in Manhattan. The dresses are samples donated by designers (samples mostly). It is a not for profit organization and all of the proceeds go to a children's shelter. I love the idea of the money I spend on my dress going to a great charity and they have designer gowns at a fraction of the price.

My friend got her dress from there and it was GORGEOUS! good luck :)
