Where do you have checking/savings?

And are you happy with them? I have just switched to Commerce Bank, so far so good.

we have ours at BFCU in melville..i love them and fh hasn't had any problems with them either

Citibank - love them -- both checking and savings

CFS/NYCB/ Now Roslyn Savings Bank -- they suck but they are getting better -- both checking and savings

That's where FH and I opened our joint account. After we're married, everything will be switched over. I love them so far. Right now though I have Citibank and he has HSBC.

I am in the process of leaving HSBC, and I just opened at Washington Mutual. I like how inside the bank they have kiosks all over instead of talking thru a window, very modern.

Washington Mutual & Chase...

Chase is HORRIBLE!!! I'm in the process of having my direct deposit switched to my Washington Mutual account..

What's good about WM is they have branches in other states (ie: Florida, California, etc.) so if your away you can always find a branch ATM and not pay the 1.50-2.50 charge.

Teachers Federal Credit Union! I guess I am happy with them. I would be happier if they made a mistake for once and deposited some extra money into my account!!

Citibank for both checking and savings... they are alright, I am too lazy to look for another bank, at least I can check everything online (I really like their website)

I've never seen one in Florida. They maybe there I dont know, but i've never saw one.

I lost my Chase card and ordered another one.. it took my dayyyyyyys before I got a new one. I told the branch I would come by to pick it up since it was right around from where I worked.. they NEVER called me to tell me it came in.. so after about 3 weeks I called to find out where my card was, they said someone called you and told you it was here.. I said NO they didnt.. total liars!

Another thing that happened was when I went to use the Chase ATM machine in my building. I punched in my code 3x's and it said I had the incorrect code.. and I know I did it correctly 3x's!! So I went over to the branch and tried to use the ATM there and I got the same error.. I picked up the phone and spoke to a representative on the other end and asked them what the problem was.. the lady told me that their must have been something wrong w/ the ATM machine I used earlier.. and because I tried my code 3x's and got errors it LOCKED my card and now I had to wait 24 hours before I could take out $$$... I started freaking out.. I was stuck in NYC w/ NO $$ and no way of getting any $$$... it was after 5pm and the banks were closed.. I started to cry on the phone cause I needed to get home, and the lady was so rude telling me their was no way to access the $$ in my account.. I would have to wait..... Long story short, they did nothing for me, and I had to call my DH collect to come pick me up in the city in rush hour traffic... I didnt get home till 8:30 and I was so MAD!!

I guess my 2 experiences with them turned me off..

I like WM so far & I like that there are branches around when I go away on vacations.
