Where do you keep your clothes hamper?

FH and I can't seem to agree on this!

in the laundry room.. we have a laundry shoot in both bathrooms on our floor.. THANK GOD FOR THAT lol

It is in the bedroom right now, but when we move into the new house, I think we will put the hamper in the closet.

We have a laudry basket...not a hamper. And we keep it on top of the washing machine/dryer. They are both downstairs where the master BR is...and it is enclosed with doors. So, we just keep it in there. Does that make sense?

When I lived in my apt....I kept it in the closet.

Mine is in the shower behind the glass doors and comes out when we take showers.

i got a really nice large lined wooden basket with a lid. we keep it in the corner of the bedroom - not that DH ever uses it!!!

We keep ours in the laundry room. I got the set from pottery barn so its a bit much to keep it anywhere else.

right now our hamper is in one of the guest bedrooms. It's the only convenient place right now, while our laundry room is getting re-done.

My DH's hamper is the floor

My FH walks his dirty clothes into the bathroom, slides the shower door open and then places his dirty clothes ON TOP of the hamper

It's not like he drops them on the floor wherever he is sitting, he actually gets up and walks them to the hamper, now I ask you, WHY CAN'T YOU OPEN THE LID AND JUST PUT THE F^&% CLOTHES IN THERE????? It just baffles me!

Right now we keep a laundry bag in a closet upstairs and we bring it down to the laundry room when it starts getting full. In the laundry room we have a couple laundry baskets where we sort the clothes. I am very lucky because my DH loves laundry so for the most part he always puts his clothes in the bag and he even brings it downs and sorts it to the baskets. He probably does this as much as I do.

We keep ours in our bathroom and good thing that our laundry room is upstairs, very close to the bathroom. That thing gets heavy! I usually have DH carry it but when he's not around, I gotta do the dirty work!

OUr new house has this too, I cant wait to not have to worry about carrying the hamper up and down the stairs!

Until we move in though I keep my hamper in my bedroom closet

We have one in the bedroom for a general holding area, and one that's built into the bathroom vanity. When they're full, they go to the basement launudry room, where we have 3 bins to sort (light, darks, whites) until I get a chance to do the laundry (hubby's in charge of folding and putting away!).
