We just moved to Long Island about 2 years ago and I can't believe that people actually have money to buy houses here. How many of you have lived somewhere else? I do like Long Island, but can't afford it. We are looking to get out.
I am from upstate and I also lived in the midwest for a few years. It's weird how different areas have such different ways of life. Anybody else?

Born & rasied in Sag Harbor, went to college in Charlotte NC, Albany, and Stony Brook and ended up in East Hampton which is where I will be for a LONG time

I was born on LI, went to school in Cortland, came home for a little while and then moved to NYC with FH. FH grew up in NYC and went to school in Cortland too (different years though). We want to move up to Orange County...although I secretly desire to move to LI...but we CANNOT afford a decent house.

Born & raised in NYC (Brooklyn & Queens). However, I did live in PR for a yr & spent a semester in London.
But mostly city girl!!

I was born and raised in Westchester and I'm still here. Fh grew up in Larchmont (also Westchester) but now he lives in Stamford, CT. At present, we're looking to buy a house in CT. If I had it my way, we'd move to Santa Monica or Malibu area in CA.... Fh doesn't like it there though :(

Can't wait to get out of the Bronx we are moving to Orange County NY soon. I grew up here in BX but FI is from Queens. He likes it in BX But we are moving. I did live in Mount Vernon for a couple of years, I loved it.

I have lived in Queens my whole life (Richmond Hill, now Ozone Park) FH has live in Queens his whole life too. We both work in Queens, so plan to stay here but relocate to another part that is like 5 mins from where we are now. Lol.

I actually went house hunting today. I am looking shirley, mastic, mastic beach area cause that is all I can afford right now.
