we registered 2 weeks after we got engaged-- about 10 and a half months before the wedding. people wanted to start getting us e-gifts and kept asking our parents where we were registered....
we registered at fortunoff, bb&b and williams sonoma

crate and barrel and linens n things....i have to say taht i love that people bought us stuff early cause crate and barrel packages it safely, puts it in cute box with a bow and then puts that in a shipping box and now that we're moving after hte wedding, it's all pre-packed!!!

Bed Bath and Beyond, Crate & Barrel, Macy's & Fortunoff
No joke, people bought 85% of our total gifts from Bed Bath and Beyond. People LOVE this store because there are so many locations and they are always sending out 20% off coupons. It gives more people incentive to shop for you there if they can save $$, plus they will get you more expensive items. I wound up moving most of my registry items to BB&B because people were gobbling up my items off this registry.

I love crate and barel for that reason also. I got so many things from there and they package everything up so nicely!!

Bed Bath and Beyond, Pampered Chef.com and Fortunoff's. We registered for the first two about two months after getting engaged, and just registered at Fortunoff's last Friday.

Fortunoff and Bed,Bath, and Beyond, and i still have to finish the registry cause my mom is asking for the shower invite list, we didn't have an e-party, close family sent us checks with cards

You should definitaly register at Bed Bath and Beyond for at least one of your stores. Besides the great 20% off coupons you can get 25$ if you are a refered bride. The bride that refers you alo gets it too. FM me, if you want my name.
PS I got 99% of my items from Bed Bath and Beyond. I also registered at Forunoff's.

We registered about six months before the wedding.....Macys and BB&B. Macys has a great deal with these points if you get a Macys credit card. Everytime you purchase anything with the card, and anytime someone buys something off your registry, you get points and in the end, they send you a gift card with a certain amount of money depending on your points.
BB&B is GREAT about taking stuff back. Even if you registered for something and then just don't like it, they take it back, no questions asked.
BB&B and Macys both have completion programs, too.
