Okay I need to know for sanity reasons - this is not a post to dig or get into your personal finances. I realize most of you make more money then certain people on this board but I want to know how you affording a wedding and honeymoon and some of you have a house or still buying a house?

Honestly - FH just made a rather large withdrawal from his online poker account - and that is going to pay for random wedding related expenses, including some of the HM. So between that, my paychecks, and whatever cash we get for Christmas, it will all be going towards the HM.

we bouhgt a timeshare in may. one of the sign on bonuses was a certificate for a free trip. all we have to pay for is airfare.

We are charging it so that we can get some sky miles from it. We paid some of it off already......but the balance we will pay it off with the money we get from the wedding/ whatever money we have left from our wedding fund. (which im thinking will be zero) lol

We decided to go all out for our honeymoon (I am a huge saver so it is testing my sanity) and we are putting it on a 0% credit card and paying it off over the 12 months and with some wedding money. I want the wedding money to be a great nest egg so I am hoping not to tap into that...but we'll see....mostly the credit card.

Visa is paying for my honeymoon. We are going to be using wedding money to pay it off. Most places in Brazil make you pay 100% in advance so it kinda stinks.

My parents and Fh parents have been really great with helping us out for some of the wedding costs so it has allowed us to use cash we have saved to put toward the honeymoon...
Also, we have a lot of miles... we have been running all expenses through the credit card (an paying them off right away) so we have first class upgrades for the flight for free...

charged the deposit but we budgeted for it through the wedding. we own a co-op as well but we've been living there a while so we just save whats left after bills and mortgage.

We are using our savings for all wedding expenses. I personally wish I had a money tree!

We're lucky since our parents are helping with the wedding so our major expense is the HM and we are totally splurging.
We also opened an ING account (much higher interest rates than banks) and are putting money away every paycheck. We're hoping to use points to cover some of the expenses as well.
ETA we're waiting a few months for our actual HM. We're going away for a couple of days after the wedding but nothing crazy. We haven't booked it yet since we're waiting on prices to drop.

FH and I are saving for wedding and HM- if anyone else wants to help we wont say no lol
but then again i wouldn't want anyone spending money on a trip they can pay for themselves to go...if they'd like to contribute a lil something something then fine-
plus we've been talkin about pushin the HM just bc we will go on 2 trips b4 the wedding and we rather go in jan/feb when it's cold here lol. and bc my job is so slow in those months i always take 1 mth off in Jan.

We budgeted for it -- we will probably use a CC for the payment and then pay it off. To think about I do a lot of purchasing that way -- points I like to get points!
