Where or how I can find a mural artist (is that what they're called?) in the NYC area?

I want to have someone paint a mural in the baby's room. Any ideas???

I found two through word of mouth, and one through the local papers.

I would recommend the ones I spoke to, but I'm not sure where their contact info is (although, I could probably find it) or if they would travel to NYC. The woman who painted Paul's mural said the furthest West she would travel is Nassau.

I know a girl on another board whose family owns a paint store in NYC- i will ask her for you. I have a women who is in Suffolk doing our room. I see her Friday and will ask her if she goes into NYC.

I will give you one tomorrow when I go to work. My volunteer organization uses quite a few and I recently painted in something that they did, absolutely fab. I will post some pix to show you their work. brb

My cousin does paintings...I believe that includes murals....she lives in Sag Harbor but travels to the city often...

She has done some AWESOME work....pictures in a new Hotel in NYC, picutres on a Royal Caribbean cruise boat...

Thank you everyone for your responses! Whoever has contact info, please FM me when you have a chance. I want to meet with a few people to see who I'm most comfortable working with. Also, what do these artists usually charge?
