where R my Vanderbilt 2005 brides?

what's up everyone? where are you in your planning. find out any new info about VM? how many people are you fitting in the ballroom?

hey!!

omg, i am in the FINAL stages of planning! all the big stuff is done. just had my final appointment at the vanderbilt a few weeks ago, and every day i get MORE excited!!!!!!!!!!!

there are 156 people on our guest list, including fh and myself. 8 no's so far, which puts us at 148. my goal is to have around 140. i really don't want to have that 15th table, cause i'm having a band and i don't want to be crowded! but hey, if we do have to have it - the more, the merrier, right?

maryann told me that they've fit over 160 people in the ballroom!!

160 people. How could she fit them... OMG. I am stressing about my guest list but I think more people will say no than I imagine. My goal was 110 but I may be more like 120. I am going for my menu appointment soon.. Still have to make the appointment. I am making favors soon too. I just feel like there is still so much to do. I have to meet with the florist and pick out flowers also. The invites will go out this weekend.

i know! i can't imagine so many people in there. maryann showed me the picture, and it actually looked fine. basically she did 11 at a table instead of 10. the only problem with that was she couldn't use the plates on the table when you first walk in (i'm spacing on the name of those plates right now, but they're the big ones that are just for show on the table).

nevermind. my FH just explained it! so the plates are just to set the table so it looks nice. then they replace them with the food. (: it has been a long day.

i had 130 and it was great! however the dance floor was packed all night and got a bit tight because everyone congregates near the front of the room..if you have 11 per table..the guests will be very uncomfortable..i had one table of 11 and the 11th person was a child and it was a bit tight..but girls relax because the day of my wedding i didnt have to worry about a thing! they were all so helpful and wonderful..and believe me I am anal and made evrything to match, brought in a ton of stuff and they were spot on!

Is anyone placing anything on the buffet tables that are located on the sides of the reception room (by the fireplace)? I didn't notice them until last week when I was there for the food tasting?

Do you mean food or flowers? I am not placing anything on them.

I met with Audreys bake shop yesterday and picked my cake. Thomas was really nice and I got a great cake.

I also had my menu and 'details' appointment with mary ann yesterday. It is all coming so FAST!
