I'd like to hear experiences with RK Bridals....anyone please?

i got my BM dresses from there. The only issue I had was that I ordered the gowns 6 months in advance. 2 weeks before the wedding they STILL were not in and the girls needed to get them altered. (i didnt use the altering program through RK - they all had their own tailors they wanted to use). I would call every week and every week they would tell me 'next week'. I finally had to call in a panic and they got them in asap. Other than that, the selection was good, prices not bad.

I second Kleinfelds although I have not yet been there. I hear the selection alone is worth the trip.

I first saw the dress I like in a magazine and then started to call around to find a sample to try on.

I really dont want to spend a fortune on my dress (no offense to those who did - I just feel like this is one corner I would like to cut) but would love a place w/ a decent selection to chose from since this is my first time looking.

I couldn't agree more- - I want a great dress, but I don't want it to be a big chunk of my budget (I wish it could be). I plan to look at David's Bridal, as well as Alfred Angelo - I like their stuff in the magazines.

Re: Where should I look for a gown?

I brought my dress from the bridal suite of centereach. If you decide to go there ask for Amy, she is the best!
