I live on the South Shore of LI, Wantagh. One of the dresses I'm altering just needs to be hemmed, and that's for the August wedding. The other dress, the April wedding, not only needs to be hemmed but the torso of this strapless gown needs to be taken in, and the slight train needs to be bustled.

I used Beautiful BRide for my sister's bridesmaids dress and the dress was perfect in one fitting.

You don't need to have the August Wedding BM dress altered until JULY, and we'll judge THEN if it needs to be taken in at the torso (remember the photo of the strapless dress woman catching the bouquet?).

As for the April dress, if you call me I'll give you the info for the woman I'm using for my Wedding dress. I think she might alter BM dresses too. She lives in Queens, but I'll help you get there.

I KNOW about the August dress...since it is YOUR wedding. However, if they do a great job with the April dress, I'll try and get my dress altered/steamed there too.

Yet first things first, and see if I can take care of the undergarment issues I have....

I am also in search of a seamstress for my wedding gown ... can anyone reccomend someone in the East Meadow/Levittown area?

I can travel to Queens (I grew up in Richmond Hill!) but I would prefer someone more local.
