Bob's Discount Furniture

I'll keep my fingers crossed and say a prayer for you guys!!!

I agree about bob's....great stuff for grea prices.

My suggestion would be to buy all furniture on holiday weekends. You get crazy discounts and when you consider how much furniture costs, it really makes a big deal to get 20% or however much off. FH and I bought our furniture little by little, always on holidays, and saved a ton. Do your shopping on Presidents day.

ok thanks!! we're not buying all the furniture at once..i'd be poor! lol i think we are doing each room one at a time

Congrats!!! Great news!!

My future in laws went to Levitz the weekend they announced the closing and everything was sold out already!!

Try The Place or Ashley furniture, I heard the prices are reasonable and they have good financing deals going on now. Both are located on 110 and on Glen Cove Rd.

congrats!

what about ikea? pier one? i love pottery barn but their furniture is a little pricey....

with department stores you can open up a credit card - we did that to buy some furniture and we got a discount for opening the card plus 12 months no payments/no interest - we did it at macys.

good luck!!

The holiday weekend IS a great deal, FH and I purchased furniture at Thomasville in Bayside and I believe it was July 4th weekend we saved 50% and we dont have to pay until Aug 08 interest free! The haggiling is def a good idea...we got the table top covers for free because we purchased dining room and bedroom all we did was ask! She was great to work with!

Hey Kristin,
Try joining direct buy. Ask for a free showroom pass and see what they sell without having to pay markup prices.

hahahaha.....all of our holiday sale items were from Thomasville too!!!! Except we went to the one on Old Country Road.

Weird!

I love our thomasville furniture. Got our bedroom set there on Presidents day....then our wall unit on memorial day along with a few other pieces and another end table on labor day weekend. I forget the woman's name who we dealt with, but she was so nice and she thought it was hilarious that we were back every holiday. We also saved b/c they didn't charge us tax because we paid in cash.

Congrats on the house! On 110 in Farmingdale they have a couple of outlets. We went to Jennifer Convertible outlet for our couch. Also Ikea has some good stuff but I dont know if it is wood or pressboard
