Where do you usually go for marriage licenses. I just got three different answers from people and then was told that you can only get it on weedays. What am I suppose to do if I work Mon-Fri and can't take off from work. I am freaking out. Does anyone know the correct information? TIA

You can get a license anywhere in New York State. Generally, the ones in Long Islan are open only weekdays, but check the hours of each to see if they are open late on any one evening. Here is a list of town halls in Long Island.

That is good to know, because I don't want to take any more time off of work, and I pass through Brookhaven on the way home!

You can get the application off of the town's website. I am also in Brookhaven got it on their site.
You and FH will need to be present at the time you go to get it with several forms of ID.
