We were all set to have it at the hotel, but I called this morning and they have it so we have to pay to rent the room, and then we are expected to host it and pay for everyone. Not to be cheap, but we don't have an extra grand to spend on breakfast.... so since most people are OOT we wanted to have everyone who would like to, meet up and pay for themselves, $10 or so, for a last get-together and to reflect on the night before etc, before everyone heads out...
Any ideas?

Re: Where to have a day-after brunch in Riverhead?
The Inn at East Wind has a restaurant called Desmond's in the hotel and they have a FANTASTIC brunch. It's open to the public - I had my bridal shower there and we did my sister's day after brunch there was well.

Try the Birchwood...I think it would be more than $10 but less than some place like The Cooperage Inn, which is about $25pp for brunch.

hehe, that is right next to our church! we very nearly had our RD there bc it was so convenient, but we all LOVE the Cooperidge Inn so that's actually where we are having it!

Is there someone's house you can host it at? We did a bagel brunch the next day at my parents' house. We got the food catered from Bagel Boss and it was A TON of food for about $225. 40 bagels, all the spreads, veggie tuna salad, egg salad, poached salmon salad, a health salad...Lots of stuff! We also bought some fruits and berries as well and made our own spread with that. I don't know if Panera is the best way to go...Seating may be tough, etc. We had about 25 people come through the next day between like 11:30am and 4 pm let's say. Good luck!

JMO, But if you are inviting people to a day-after brunch, I would, as a guest, be a bit taken aback if I was expected to pay.
Its one thing if you casually mention to folks, but to organize a larger group - I think the expectation would be that they are stil your guests.

We originally had this planned too. It was very expensive and we have people staying at two different hotels and since we can't be in two places at one time, we opted out.
